The Werecats Mate

Chapter 15

'So, you can summon lightening, and absorb elemental energy, anything you can't do?' I couldn't help but ask, half serious, half joking.

'There are actually quite a few abilities we don't have, but we do have several, more than any other tigreign has thus far, other than the original, of course, however, that really is not something to celebrate.' Was her response, and I was unable to hide my confusion, 'Tigreign, are the balance of power, had there been someone good, trying to kill off all the bad, she would have been born evil, with the power to match this force, her having all these abilities, means only one thing.' She then paused for a moment, before continuing, 'Vladimir, is far more powerful than he's been given credit for, and he just may achieve God hood, me not having all the originals powers could be because they were afraid that I would take their throne, OR because he's not powerful enough to warrant that drastic of a measure, there is no way to know for certain, however, the simple fact that they decided to make another tiger, is quite worrying in my eyes, because I know exactly what it means.'

'What, does it mean?' I couldn't help but ask, getting a feeling of dread in my stomach.

'Vladimir either is the most powerful being on this planet, or was, before I was created.' She stated, so sure of it that it made my stomach do a full back flip, and my heart skip a beat. I think she heard it, because she continued, 'I'm sorry, I just thought you should know, the moon goddess and sun God always send a tigreign, when someone or something is getting out of hand and threatening the natural balance, the last time, it was a witch, this time, a vampire, ironic, isn't it?'

I laughed at that a bit, mainly because I enjoyed irony, and yet this scared me quite a bit, talk about irony, huh? 'How is it that you know though, is one of your abilities to see the past?' I couldn't help but ask, genuinely curious.

'Not, but I can see everything any tigreign ever did, as if I were there, though the ones who came just before me are much easier to see, we tigreign are all linked, it is another way to let us know what we are capable of, that way we ourselves don't get out of hand. You see, tigreign are almost always born the most powerful being on the planet, simply so that we can better fulfil our duties, we wouldn't be as valuable if we were killed before we managed to stop the calamity that we were created for, now would we? My only fear, is that Vlad is stronger than me, and the reason they didn't give me all the originals powers, is fear of being over thrown.' Was her response.

'Do you really think they'd do that, I mean, not make you powerful enough to stop it.'

'Yes, it has been done before, what do you think really caused the dark ages?' She asked, and my heart sank, 'a tigreign was created to avoid the calamity, but, they were too weak to stop it, they died trying to fulfil their duty.' She then paused for a moment, 'but, that could be why they mated us, perhaps, you were meant to help me defeat them, with power closely matching that of two originals, we at least have a chance.'

Just then, one of the members of my kingdom entered the conversation, 'Sir, we have urgent news, Thorn wishes for you to return, he says he needs to speak to you in person.'

'Come on, we should return to the castle, Thorn has news.' I relayed to Sasha, before I flew off towards the castle, with her hot on my heels. We reached the castle rather quickly, since we were already so close, as soon as I saw the balcony, I began shifting into my human form, I landed gracefully on my hands and feet. I threw a pair of shorts on, and went to find Thorn waiting in the throne room, Sasha appearing moments after I did.

"Sir, I believe it best if we spoke, privately." He stated, slightly angering me, what's was so important that my mate, and future queen shouldn't be allowed to hear it?

"Sasha is my mate, she is allowed to attend our meetings." Was my response, I used a tone that would ensure he understood there wouldn't be any arguing the point with me.

"But sir-"

"Thorn." I warned, urging him to continue.

"As you wish, it's about Sasha's pack, they were attacked, it was confirmed to be vampires."

As soon as the words left his mouth, I felt Sasha's pain through our link, and I was consumed with rage, Vlad knows who she is, he went after her pack, to find her.

"I-I'm sorry, your majesty, though the reports have stated that none were killed, a few were badly injured, and two were taken as prisoners. I, I think you already know who, sir."

As I felt Sasha's swarm of emotions flood her through our bond, my own anger surged through me. I knew then that we had to find some way to stop him, I couldn't allow him to endanger her, or her loved ones, any longer. I balled my hands into fists, feeling my claws elongate and dig into my flesh, I began seeing red.

"S-Sam, we have to save them, he has my parents, what, were his demands?" She cautiously asked, looking in Thorns direction.

"He, apparently left a message, he said, that he would tear through every ally to the black moon pack, as well as the dragons, someone apparently had intel that she was here, the vampires, some how found out that you and Sam are mates, he's going to take out dragon colonies, as well as werewolves, he's planning an all out war, sir."  

My stomach seemed to drop further and further as those words left his mouth, he was going to destroy everything, before he even managed to reach godhood, if we allowed him to do this, but how were we supposed to stop him? Not even my father could best him, and I myself had lost to him before.

"Sam, he knows, we won't be able to surprise him now, what, should we do?" She asked, I could see tears threatening to spill from her eyes, I vowed to myself that I would make him pay for every little bit he put her through.

"If it's a war he wants, then it's a war he'll fucking get." I growled through my teeth. "Thorn, reach out to the other colonies, tell them to come here, we will muster all our forces to this point, call out to every single ally we have, dragons, werecats, wolves, bears, witches, ALL of them, tell them, prepare for war, also, have the blacksmiths make more armor and weapons for the incoming recruits."

He bowed, and left with a quick, "yes sir." As I began pacing the floor, becoming more and more furious by the second.

"Sam, it's okay, I'm okay." Sasha stated as she held my arm, trying to calm me down, and barely managing to do so, he attacked her family, and threatened mine, I was going to kill him, if it was the last thing I did.
