Chalk doesn't stay forever on a slate

It's a wrecking havoc, a childish game
End results, concluded as shame
One–way ticket to hell
Disaster screamed and yelled
Why didn't you listen

Why couldn't you abandon
The emotions that were killing
Why go further
Till you're sinking
Above questions returns to me
Though once, they were said by you
Are we exchanging scripts?
Dying and living, bloody cheats?
Are we digging pits?
Until it's deep enough for gravity to pull us in?
Is this a game of tag?
What do we say we have?
In the past we had
But the present we are
Are we like a failing balance
Soon to be buried by the roaring avalanche
Of our ignorance
Cause it's not decided what we have
We're looped in this game
