"No", Shay stated. "You will not go after him."

"When have I ever gone after someone", I said, casually.

"Never, but you will not start now", she continued.

"Fine. How is work?"

"OH SHIT!" She jumped up and ran out the door.

I started to laugh when I heard, "Sorry your friend had to go." I look up and see Aidan's friend.

"H-hi", I stuttered.

"I'm Dylan Kameron", he said sticking his hand out for me to shake.

"Abby Marshall", I said, as he sat where Shay was just moments ago.

"Nice to meet you, Abby", he said watching me like a hawk.

"You're Aidan's friend?"

"Yes, I have known him since middle school", I nodded.

"Oh, you are that Abby."

"Aidan talked about me?"

Dylan smirked and said, "He told me you were off limits."

"Abby, your break is over", Aidan called.

I get up and see Aidan glaring at Dylan.

"Here is my number... Text me", he said, handing me a piece of paper before he left.

I quickly put the paper in my pocket and went back to work.

"What did I tell you", Aidan asked me, pulling me into the back room.

I have no idea why he is so adamant on keeping Dylan away.

"You said to stay away from your friend", I answered, crossing my arms and rolling my eyes.

"And what didn't you do?" He was treating me like a 5 year old.

"I didn't stay away."

"Mhm. Look, Dylan is one of my best friends. Since I met him, he has never dated anyone. He will sleep with a person then toss them aside. I won't let you be one of his conquests", he said, hugging me.

"I know you want to protect me but I am 19! I am an adult and I can do whatever I want", I said pulling away from the hug.

"Try telling that to Shay", He chuckled.

"She will never let me make my own decisions", I said, shaking my head.

"No... She loves you Abby. She just wants to make sure you are always happy and protected", he explained, sadly. "She wants to make up for the mother-daughter relationship you never got to have."

"I've made my peace with not having a mom. I need to make my own mistakes", I said, sadly.

"I think you should too. But I will never ever say that to Shay."

"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, I know. Let's get back to work now", I said, walking to the front.

I continued to work when I remember that I still have Dylan's number. Should I call him?
