"Not even close. Quite the opposite in fact. You are so brave. You kept all this in and continued life. I admire that."James said. The two of them stood up.

"Let's go," James said. Lily nodded. James wrapped his arm around her and they walked back to Gryffindor.

"James?"

"Yeah."

"Maybe you aren't such an arrogant toerag." She said and smiled. James gave her a laugh.

"I'm working on it." He said with an embarrassed smile.

"I know," Lily said. A revelation hit him.

"Lils, when you say I'm an arrogant toerag, do you mean-"

"Finally figured it out did you?" Lily said with a laugh and kissed his cheek before going to her dorm.

James marched up to his common room and woke the other marauder's up.

"You two are incredibly stupid." He said to Sirius and Peter.

"What are you talking about?" Sirius said, sleepily.

"You both have been ignoring one of our friends when she needs you most," James said.

"Wait, who?" Remus said.

"Lily," Peter said. James stared at him. "Yeah," James said slightly stunned Peter knew.

"Well, James I'm pretty sure she hates me," Sirius said.

"No, she doesn't. Quite the opposite."

"And I'm sure she's mad at me," Remus said.

"Nope. She thinks you are mad at her."

"Why on earth would she hate you Sirus?" Peter asked.

Sirius glanced down. "My parents killed her parents."

"Wait! That's why she's been acting so weird?" Remus said.

Sirius nodded.

"Yes and she feels like she's super alone. John's been cheating on her, and as she knows it but is hoping he'll fess up. And Marlene is mad at her as well for keeping her parent's death a secret. Marlene doesn't know. And she misses Alice and Frank." James said slightly angry but more annoyed.

"Oh gosh," Sirius said and dashed out the door. He ran up to the girls' dorms and knocked on the door.

"Who's there?" Lily asked from the door. A voice that made her heart soar answered.

"Sirius." He said. Lily opened the door quickly and Sirius pounded her with a strong hug. She hugged him back after almost falling over upon the force he brought with his hug. The commotion had woken then other girls up. Lily and Sirius both had tears rolling down their cheeks.

"Alright. Lily, out with it." Marlene said.

"Her parents were killed a few weeks ago," Sirius said.

Marlene's face softened. "Oh." She said and hugged her best friend. "By who?"

"My pathetic excuses of parents," Sirius said. Lily smiled and wiped her face. She glanced at the other girls. They had fallen asleep.

"Something tells me we aren't going to sleep tonight," Remus said from the stairwell.

"Agreed," Marlene said and they went downstairs.

"Before you all say sorry. This was on me. I should have told someone." Lily said.

"Na. I should have told James. Clearly, the man knows what's best for you" Sirius said.
