Let me demonstrate:

Let's say we have one OC, We'll call her Sally. And we have another OC, whom we'll call Mary. (For Mary Sue.) One will be perfect, the other will be realistic.

Mary
- Beautiful
- Talented
- Loved By All
- Powerful
- Good Person

Sally
- Mischievous
- Stubborn
- Funny
- Free-Spirit
- Animal Lover

Do you see how bland Mary is? Sally however, is realistic, and actually has some personality to her. Also, try to avoid traits such as beautiful/handsome. I have no problem with OCs being attractive, however, being beautiful is not a personality trait.

(Also, do not make your character full of cons. Or they too will be bland and uninteresting.)

Next we'll discuss your OCs name, and where they're from.
