"What do you mean?" Ash asked.

"You took my hand earlier and for a split second I thought she appeared and smiled at me." I said as I continued to make the cake.

"Then I bet she is happy that you found someone who loves you and takes care of you."

"Maybe." I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. He kissed my cheek as I mixed the bowl. We stayed like this for a little bit before he kissed my cheek again and walked away.

An hour later, dinner was done and so was the cake. I was letting the cake cool while I fixed the icing when Ash walked back in.

"You okay?" He asked as he moved the food from the kitchen to the dinning room.

"Yep. Just making the icing before we sit down to eat." I said and he nodded.

"Okay." He said. I placed the finished icing in the fridge and fixed myself a drink. Tim came in and we all sat down and started eating. Once we were,  Ash did the dishes and Tim left. I was sitting on my bed working on my homework when Ash walked in.

"You ready for Christmas break?" He asked and I nodded.

"Of course. I get to spend it with you and your family." I said and he smiled before he kissed me. I kissed back and pulled away.

"You still need to work on your homework though." I said and he groaned.

"Do it or no cake." I said.

"I can deal with that."

"Fine. I won't kiss you." I said and he bolted out of my room. I giggled some and grabbed my phone before heading back to the kitchen. I started listening to music as I iced the cake.

Some girls feel best in their tiny dresses
Some girls in nothin' but sweatpants, looking like a princess
Some girls kiss new lips every single night
They're stayin' out late cause they just celebrating life

You know some days you feel so good in your own skin
But it's okay if you wanna change the body that you came in
Cause you look greatest when you feel like a damn queen
We're all just playing a game in a way, tryna win that life

Most girls are smart and strong and beautiful
Most girls work hard, go far, we are unstoppable
Most girls, our fight to make every day
No two are the same

I wanna be like, I wanna be like most girls
I wanna be like, I wanna be like most girls
I wanna be like, I wanna be like
I wanna be like, I wanna be like
I wanna be like, I wanna be like

Some girls like to keep their physique real private
Some girls wear jeans so tight 'cause it feels so right, yeah
Some girls, every day searching, keep the page turning
Sleepin' in late cause they're just celebrating life

You know some days you feel so good in your own skin
But it's okay if you wanna change the body that you came in
Cause you look greatest when you feel like a damn queen
We're all just playing a game in a way trying to win that life

Most girls are smart and strong and beautiful
Most girls work hard, go far, we are unstoppable
Most girls, our fight to make every day
No two are the same

I wanna be like, I wanna be like most girls
I wanna be like, I wanna be like most girls
I wanna be like, I wanna be like
I wanna be like, I wanna be like
I wanna be like, I wanna be like

Most girls, yeah
Most girls
Wanna be, wanna be, wanna be
Most girls, our fight to make every day
No two are the same

I wanna be like most girls
I wanna be like, I wanna be like most girls
I wanna be like, I wanna be like
I wanna be like, I wanna be like
I wanna be like

I finished icing the cake and placed it on the bar inthe cake stand and turned to see Ash. I screamed slightly and he chuckled.

"That was mean."

"I'm sorry. I thought you heard me when I said something. Also, I'm glad to see that you are sounding better when you sing." He said. I smiled and gave him a hug.

"I have you to thank for. Without you, I wouldn't be able to talk abd I would still be with my dad." I said.

"I'm so glad we bumped into each other. Literally." He said before he kissed me. I smiledand we pulled away before going back up and finishing our honework.

Two weeks later, we were leaving the house in two cars.

"Off to grandma's house we go." Ash said and I giggled beforehe helped me into the truck.

Two hours later, we pulled up to a McDonald's. I slipped out of the truck and stretched.

"So that's where my shirt went." Ash said as he wrapped his arm around me.

"It's comfy and smells like you." I mumbled as I blushed. He smiled and kissed my forehead.

"And looks better on you." He said causing me to blush more. He chuckled and we walked inside.
