Chapter 17

He looked at me with his eyes narrowed. "Come here Ashley" king said ...she stood and walked over to him. The room was so silent you could hear a pin drop. He picked her up wincing in pain in the process ......"what's wrong ?" Ashley wiped her tears and said "the man in the suit and red tie hurt me " I watched as king clenched his jaw.

He nodded to the guys and they all grabbed their phones and left the room. Time to find this man in a suit. King face was completely changed from calm to evil.

I called Ash back over to finish her food. Phuri began to whine I'm guessing because I hadn't burped him yet. "Pat pat pat" the pats sounded off from his back. I rubbed it up and down and repeated the pats.

He soon burped ...now all i needed was two more. In the mean time the guys were in and out giving and receiving information. I hadn't even told king about my truck mainly because I was still upset with him.

You see we weren't like other couples who'd be mad at each other and keep that mood ...we'd talk out our problems the same day we had them....I just needed a moment to calm down.

"Bruhh we got a match from what the North and South side said he the next in line for boss placement after Issac " Quay said .....the name made me quiver I still had a strong hate toward that man. I'd forgive him one day but I was still healing so I couldn't.

I stood holding phuri in my hands and walked over to king. Not once have you asked to hold your son .London said to king. She walked over to the bed and handed him to King ...look baby I'm mad but my love for you is the same .....I'm just upset that you didn't tell me .he looked into my eyes and finally said "I didn't want you to leave me.

I looked at him and grabbed his face "we forever baby ...I'm not going no where " he wiped the tear as it fell quickly . I smiled and Kissed him. I called In Nurse Shelly.

"You called me baby?" She said referring to London. "yes ma could you go to the nursery and grab me some diapers and a blanket for the baby I don't have any with me?" She nodded her head and walked out the room.

I waited for her to return and when she did I hugged her and grabbed Phuri from King. I changed his diaper and wrapped him in his blanket. Kings release papers would be here soon. That's when we could get this all sorted out. I kept thinking about Ashley and how she felt not only because of the news she was telling us but also because this is her first time in a long time seeing her dad.

Mrs. Shelly AKA Ma came in holding the papers. Considering King was still in shock I signed the forms while she now adored the babies. She reached into her nurses jacket and pulled out four lollipops for Ashley. "Now ma you know she gone be jumping off the walls four is a big number." She smacked he teeth and looked at me " child I reckon you not gone be here for a while , since you got king therapy, also Doc said you could send your reports here instead of coming in every two days. I wrote my address down and slipped it into the baby bag make sure you bring my babies by and if you need any legal help text me my husbands the best lawyer here." Shelly said lastly.

London nodded her head a gave ma shelly one last hug. she packed the bags and grabbed Phuri. Ashley held the bag with her food in it and the guys help gather Kings things. Holding Phuri  in her arms and guiding the guys back to the car London had a lot going on.

The ride to the house was silent. With King holding phuri and Ashley in the back with the guys tailing us was the least bit of normal. The tension was so thick and even a knife could not cut through it.

LONDON P>O>V

Pulling into the driveway I blew out a big breathe, graduation was literally in a couple of days and life seemed to be going in slow motion again. I haven't talked to Lay in almost three weeks because I have been so busy with helping King.

Walking into the house with Phuri while the guys carried King was relaxing. I sat king in the middle of my bed and surrounded him with pillows. I left the door wide open so I could hear if he made a sound. "Ashley sweetie you can watch tv in here with your dad" she nodded her head and ran into the living room. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. The guys left soon after King was in the house and I appreciated the fact they understood what was going on. About the trace they had for this man in the red suit they basically knew what this man did everyday, what he looked like, hell they could tell you the color of his bed sheets. They didn't play games when it came to the ones they loved .

walking back into my room to check on Phuri I grabbed my phone. Sleeping still I scrolled down my contacts and called Lay Lay. "Dang Chick I thought you had died or something..........you now we still gotta go graduation shopping right" Lay Lay said rushing the last part. I laughed and nodded as though she could see me. " Just come over we have a lot to talk about" she agreed and we ended the conversation there.

I decided to take a shower and them make diner. I too a 10 Minute shower not wanting to risk Phuri waking up. All I could think about the whole time was all that God is putting in my path. True enough I have done somethings that I'm really not proud of. I have repented for those sins and also did what I had to do to save the ones I loved. I have two kids, a boyfriend that I have to care for, graduation coming up, I'm still young and have all of this on my plate.

Graduation makes me seem so old but I'm still young just graduating early. I stepped out of the shower and put on my night clothes of course after putting on lotion and perfumes. Even though my life was so hard right now I'd never forget what God has brought me out of and where I came from.

I changed Phuri's diaper and took him downstairs to eat. I peeped in on King and Ashley to see them cuddled up watching "Lion King" I smiled and went to the kitchen. Fixing Kings bottle the door bell rung. ''Coming! " I put the top on Phuri's bottle and walked to the door. Opening it and walking to the kitchen Marcus went to the living room and Lay followed me.

She looked at me wide eyed and I told her to grab Phuri and feed him while I talked and made Ash and king some snacks. " girl these his kids and mine now considering I'm not leaving him, but girl let me finish this and we'll go into the bedroom and talk. I grabbed four bowls from the cabinet and filled them with things that I knew they'd like such as chips, candy rings ,chocolate, and popcorn. I grabbed a box of Capri Suns and walked to the living room. I sat the bowl down and opened the box of juices and lined them around the snack bowls for easy reach.

I looked at Ash and she got up " mommy where is the bathroom?" my eyes filled with water and I pointed down the hall to the guest one which would be hers and watched as she walked off. I looked at King and leaned down to his level. " I still love you baby and I'm sorry about earlier." I kissed his lips and he kissed back. I walked back to where lay was and lead her upstairs along with our own snacks. "Bestfriend I don't know if I can handle this"
