Chapter 6: Chanyeol's Morning

The next morning...

I suddenly arise from my slumber when I heard my phone beeped. As I yawned, I tried to gaze at the window and then greeted Mr. Sun, “Good morning, Mr. Sun!” After I greeted, I went back to bed again. I sighed and began to talk to myself again, “Woah! I really can’t still believe that my bias and I are breathing the same air.”

*Phone beeped again*

“Oops!” I forgot to check my phone. My phone was beeping because of the notifications I got from my Facebook, Twitter, KakaoTalk account. “Ugh! My KakataoTalk account!”

“Good morning, Summer. Do you know me?”

“Annyeonghaseyo Summer! Rise & Shine!”

“Summer, are you already up?”

“Do you even wonder who I am?”

“Hi Summer!”

“GOOOOOODDD MORRRRNNIINNNGGGG!”

“You forgot me that fast? /sobs/”

“You shine as bright as the Sun every summer, Summer.”

“Oops...”

“Maybe this time you’re still sleeping, Summer. So once you got to read this, I just want to greet you a Good morning. I hope to see you today.”

I got so many messages and all are from a one person only. I couldn’t think of anyone else but... “Could this be Park Chanyeol?” I was so shocked to receive this numerous messages and he even mentioned that I do shines as bright as the Sun every summer.

Why is my heart racing so suddenly? I sighed heavily and managed myself to give him a reply, “Good morning to you too, oppa. I just woke up from my slumber. How was your sleep?”

Meanwhile at EXO’s dorm...

“The food is ready!” Kyungsoo yelled. The boys ran to the kitchen immediately with an ear to ear grin.

“Why did it take you so long to prepare, hyung?” Kai asked as he moved his chair.

“Maybe you should try helping me.” Kyungsoo replied.

Everyone in the room burst in laughter. “Aigoo, it’s really okay hyung. You can prepare the breakfast forever.” But even before they touch their food, Suho noticed that one of them is missing.

“Wait, W-where is—“

“Hyung, I’m here.” Lay raised his hand, informing them about his presence.

“Woah! Miracles in April! Um, so who is missing?” Suho continued.

Suho started to count them, “1... 2... 3...” He didn’t even finish his counting ‘til the missing member came in.

Chanyeol who was eyeing his mobile phone for hours just came in to the scene. He’s wearing a frown and he really looked disgusted by the way of his twitching eyebrows.

“What’s wrong, Chanyeol-ah?” Chen asked.

Chanyeol didn’t even bother to answer Chen. He went to his seat and he was still eyeing his phone like we has waiting for something. “Why aren’t you replying?” He asked himself.

“Who is it?” Luhan asked Chanyeol as he tries to see his phone. Chanyeol was pushing Luhan to prevent him seeing his phone. “It’s none of your business, hyung.”

“Aish! Why can’t you let me see your phone? Are you hiding something?” Luhan said while laughing lightly.

“No hyung. It’s nothing.” As Chanyeol tries to back his mobile phone away from Luhan, it became an opportunity for Kris to get Chanyeol’s phone.

“Aha! I got it. So let see what’s with White teeth’s phone...” Kris slowly eyes Chanyeol’s phone and then his eyes grew big.

Chanyeol immediately snatch the phone from Kris. “Yah! Give it to me!” Kris stared Chanyeol for seconds and that made Chanyeol so confused, “What? What did you see?” But Kris didn’t give him any answer.

The silence overpowered the room fragilely but Kris broke it easily as he started to murmur something, “Chanyeol-ah... you are...” Everyone was eyeing Kris. Chanyeol was kind of nervous as you could trace in his eyes.

“Chanyeol-ah...” Kris repeated his name. “You’re too weak! Your best score in Flappy bird was just only 10? Basic.”

Every member did a facepalm. Kris started to burst into laughter like there was no tomorrow. He even can’t control himself anymore, he was laughing too hard that made Chanyeol’s eyebrows twitch for more.

“Just eat your breakfast guys. It seems that we will have a long day, today.” the leader ordered. As Suho ordered, the members went back from eating. Except Chanyeol, though he was eating too, he was still uncomfortable. He eyes his phone from time to time and then suddenly, a Happy Virus cannot contain his feels anymore that he even yelled so loud, “Yaaaaaah! SHE REPLIED TO ME!”

“Woah that’s great! Who is it?” Sehun asked.

“Who? Summer?” Luhan asked.

“Yes! She did!” Chanyeol replied so merrily.

“Summer?” Kris asked.

“Yes! Summer!” Chanyeol replied as he was typing his reply for Summer. He was wearing his usual big smile and then his eyebrow twitch again as he gave his fellow members a look.

Everyone in the room was staring at Chanyeol. Half of them were showing their poker faces and the other five was helping themselves not to laugh or even just flash a smile.

Chanyeol started to explain everything to his fellow members. “No. You don’t understand anything. No. It’s not Summer. Huh? Um? Who’s Summer, by the way?” Chanyeol was sweating. He even tried to divert every member’s attention. “Oh look at the Sun! Today’s Sun shines so lovely. I’ll have to see it. A second, please?” Chanyeol slowly stood up in his seat, trying to escape the fellow members.

Chanyeol left his fellow members wordlessly.
