I looked at every door's room. There are patients' name printed on it.

Finally I found Ruby's room.

I heaved a sigh before twisting the doorknob.

There I saw Ruby laughing with someone. She seems like healthy. She's wearing white dress, with tube connected to her hands. I guess she noticed me. I saw how her mood changed.

"Cauli... please hurry all the documents. We need to get married as early as we can."

Few seconds had passed before he could react.

Wait...

What?! They will marry each other?

"What do you mean, Cauli? You're going to marry my daughter?" Mom butted in.

He cleared his throat.

"Yes, auntie. I will marry your daughter."

Feels like something is throbbing inside. Tears are starting to form and flow down. I don't know but it fucking hurts. It's like... I'm totally shattered.

He means... he will marry Ruby? Not... me?

"When?" Mom asked.

"As soon as Ruby will get better. But first, we need to sign up the contract so our company will be totally merged."
Truly he will marry Ruby! Then what about me? Does he have an amnesia? That it's easy for him to forget me? Am I not worthy for his love? Since when his heart have changed?

"Well, I trust you, Cauli. If you think that's a good idea, I won't reject your proposal." Mom agreed.

"Gorgina? Why are you here?" My eyes widened when dad suddenly came over. I immediately wiped my cheeks.

"Dad." I faked a grinned.

"You may come in." He opened the door widely.

"Gorgina." Mom mentioned my name in shock.

I shifted my eyes to Cauli. I saw him gulped three times.

"Hi, mom. I'm here-"

"What?! You called her mom? Like dugh!" She rolled her eyes.

I inhaled deeply.

Relax, Gorgina. Remember what your mom told you.

"Please Gorgina. As long as you can, don't tell it to Ruby... that she's just adopted."

"I'm sorry? But you might have heard it wrong. I said, ma'am." I fake a smile. I rolled my eyes secretly.

"May I talk to you, Ma'am Castel?" She nodded and fake a smile. I shifted my eyes to Cauli again. He looked like he just commited a crime.

Don't worry, Cauli. This pain won't last. I hope, when I come back, my heart won't bleed anymore.

I walked out. I felt mom following me.

"Mom." I hugged her tight. I hope she could feel me hurting right now.

Tears streamed down like a river.

I really hate this feeling.

I released her from my arms.

"Mom. I guess this ain't just a trip. I will come back... maybe next year or the following years. I don't know." I shrugged.

"I'm sorry, honey." Her voice is husky. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay, mom. I really hope this would end. The wounds are still fresh. Expect that it's still bleeding and painful."

"Have a safe trip."

"Yes, mom. And, the kids will be with me. We will go back here as soon as I'm ready. But, if they want to go back here, I will let them. I would stay in France." I smiled.

"Take care, honey. I hope you will find someone who's better than him." She smiled.

I saw dad walking towards us.

"Bye, dad. I hope, before we could go back here, she will know her real identity."

"What? You're going? Where?"

"I have to find myself, dad. I want to be far from everyone because if I'll choose to stay, they will just shatter me."

"I'm sorry, honey."

"You don't have to say sorry, guys. I know you're just doing this for her. I understand. Yes, all I have to do is to understand." I heaved a sigh. "Fine. It fucking hurts. Seeing them together, hearing those words from him is slowly killing me. I have to be distant from him."

"Please take care of yourself, princess. You are our forever baby." I hugged them tight.

"Bye. The kids are waiting for me."

I faced my back to them.

Damn it! Really fuck as hell. It hurts and it's killing me slowly.
