Katherine's POV:
I got to the office a while ago and since it's pretty slow I'm on my phone.
Nadia: I have a questions.
Katherine: Shoot.
Nadia: Which nail colour do you like more? Crimson or Violet.
Katherine: I like Crimson but you look better in violet.
Nadia: Thanks.
Nadia's working the front desk with me. A man rushes in and up to me. I stay on my phone.
Man: Hey,
Katherine: Hey.
Man: Can you stop texting?
Katherine: I'm not texting I'm playing Candy Crush I'm on level 79.
Man: That is so rude!
I put down my phone and smile.
Katherine: I'm sorry. What's your situation?
Man: I hurt my arm in a bar fight last night. I thought it would wear off with sleep but it hurts like hell.
Katherine: Let me look at it.
He leans over and puts his arm on the counter. I analyze his arm.
Man: You single?
Katherine: I have 4 kids.
Man: Never mind.
I feel a little crack in his arm.
Man: Watch it that hurts.
Katherine: Yeah your arm is sprained.
Man: Then fix it ho.
I tighten my grip and he groans.
Katherine: Now it's broken. I just need some information before you can begin.
Stefan's POV:
I'm packing my bags while Rebekah's trying to talk me out of going.
Rebekah: Stefan you have to think about this. The girls are just starting out in a new city and all hey know about you is that you're a vampire!
Stefan: I know! And I want them to know more. I'm sure Katherine won't tell them.
Rebekah: Stefan she's gone through a lot to make sure no one from Mystic Falls is around her kids.
Stefan: Why not?
Rebekah: She got scared. There was so much death in Mystic Falls and all around us. She didn't want that.
Oh.
Stefan: I guess that makes sense.
Rebekah: Stefan please.
Stefan: I'm sorry, but I need to know my daughters.
Rebekah: Sigh, fine. I'll give you their address.
Stefan: Thank you Rebekah.
I arrive at the airport a while later and get on the plane to Ruse.
Katherine's POV:
The girls get into the car and we start driving home.
Katherine: So how was your day?
Alison: It was okay I guess. I was amazing in gym. And so many guys offered to help me with my homework.
Katherine: Good job. You girls didn't hurt anyone did you?
Vanessa: Well...
Katherine: Really Vanessa?
Vanessa: It's so not my fault. The guy wouldn't let me go.
Katherine: What did you do?
Vanessa: I kind of snapped his wrist.
Katherine: You compelled him to forget it was you right?
Vanessa: Yes.
Katherine: At least you didn't kill him.
Vanessa: You could give me a little credit.
Katherine: That is your credit.
Alison: Hey there's this place called the Groovy Smoothie that a bunch of kids from school go too. Can we take the car?
Katherine: I am not letting you girls go out by yourselves.
Alison: Are you afraid we'll get kidnapped?
Katherine: No I'm afraid someone's going to end up dead.
Alison: Everything will be okay mother. I'll drive.
Katherine: Two words, Dairy Queen.
Alison: Okay I panicked in the drive through. That's no reason why I can't drive.
Katherine: You drove through the side of the building! Besides even if I would let you girls go out Katja would have to drive.
Vanessa/Alison: What? Why?
Katherine: Because she's the only one who hasn't driven into a building.
Vanessa: But-
Katherine: Indoor swimming pool.
Vanessa: Never mind.
I know how to deal with my girls. I've met people of so many different ages throughout my life and I know how to deal with them all.
Katherine: Now, the full moon is tomorrow.
Katja: We know.
Alison: You always remind us.
Katherine: Well any werewolves in this town will be out. And if you girls are reckless, I don't like to kill werewolves.
Katja: We know mother.
I pull up in the driveway and I see Stefan waiting at the front door.
Alison: Finally.
Katherine: Wait. Don't get out.
Vanessa: Why not?
Katherine: Do you girls know how to get to that smoothie place with the idiotic name.
Alison: Yeah why?
Katherine: Katja you're driving.
Katja: Yay.
Vanessa: We have to put our bags in the house though.
Katherine: I'll do that.
Alison: Aren't you the one who says we have to either do stuff ourselves or compel other people to do it for us?
Katherine: Do you want to go to that smoothie place or not?
Alison: Yes.
Katherine: Perfect give me your bags and Katja crawl into the drivers seat.
The girls give me their bags and I get out as I hand Katja the keys. The girls drive away. I can't believe he's here. I walk up to the porch and Nadia comes out of the house.
Nadia: I maybe should have warned you.
Katherine: Yeah that would've been nice.
Stefan: Hi Katherine.
Katherine: Stefan, what are you doing here?
Stefan: I came here to meet my daughters. I assume that was them?
No. He can't know.
Katherine: Nadia?
Nadia: I didn't tell him.
Stefan: It was Rebekah.
Of course. She's such a snitch.
Katherine: You should go Stefan.
Stefan: No. I want to meet my daughters. I have a right to know them.
Katherine: No you don't. You didn't want anything to do with me. So you gave up your right to know my daughters.
A look of guilt washes over Stefan. That may have been a little harsh.
Katherine: Let's just talk about this inside.
I walk in and Stefan waiting outside giving me a look.
Katherine: Oh right come inside.
He walks in and sits down on the couch. This won't be fun.
