Chapter 12

Ryan's POV

"We're just friends" I tell my sister for the 10th time in this car trip, making my parents and Alison laugh.

"You like Chloe, you like Chloe" Alison sings making my parents laugh.

"Okay Alison enough" my mother says, I roll my eyes at my sister and look out the window.

"She's hiding something" I say simply

"Who? Chloe?" Dad asks as he drives, I nod

"Yes, I don't know what tho"

"Maybe she's a super hero" Alison jokes, making us all laugh

"Yup Alison I'm sure that's it" mum says, I smile as I stay looking out the window

Chloe's POV

"No arguing today" my father says as he stops the car, the mccartans park beside us

"Then don't stop me from taking Nora" I say undoing my seatbelt, my mother goes to say something but my father stops her.

I smile as I start undoing Nora's car seat as my family gets out, I lift Nora out and get out of the car. My mother comes over and hands me Nora's bag.

"Make sure she has sunscreen and a hat on" my mother says before walking away, I roll my eyes just as Ryan comes over he has his beach bag in one hand.

"Hey" he says, I smile holding Nora on my hip. "Babysitting?" He asks running his finger down Nora's cheek before looking back at me

"Umm yeah big sister of the year" I lie with a small laugh making him laugh. I should of just said mother of the year and told Ryan.

"Here I'll take that" Ryan says taking Nora's bag, I smile softly and thank him before we follow our family's down to the sand.

"Mum!" I yell she turns and looks at me, well Nora. Probably to make sure I haven't hurt her or something "Ryan and I are sitting over there" I add before walking away from where my family and Ryan's where setting up. Ryan follows me confused

"Haven't spoken sense that fight?" He asks getting his towel out of his bag and putting it down for us to sit on, I sit down and put Nora down in front of me but hold her so she can sit up.

"Not much" I say as Ryan sits down, I take Nora's hat out. It's a small pink baby hat that's for the beach. I put it on her before smiling at how cute she looks.

"Hey want to take her to the water?" Ryan asks, I look over at the beach, the shallow water won't hurt. I look down at Nora who's looking around

"Lets go to the water hey?" I ask her picking her up and putting her on my lap earning a giggle making Ryan laugh and me smile

"That's a yes come on" Ryan says standing up, I hesitantly give him Nora so I can stand up. He looks worried about holding her but it was cute, I smile and take Nora back before we walk over to the water, just where it's shallow tho of course.
