Chapter 5

Ryan's POV

"We're going to get in so much trouble" Alison whispers as I search threw my dads filing cabinet

"We won't be caught" I say pulling Chloe's file out, school finished hours ago and my mum and dad just left. "Got it" I add putting Chloe's file on dads desk

"This is crazy" my little sister says making me laugh as I open Chloe's file

"I just want to know what she's in to" I say reading her file "she was in drama class and took music" I flip the page then frown "but she's not taking them classes here, why?" I ask making Alison shrug

"Maybe she doesn't want to"

"You don't just stop them classes because of moving" I say still reading her file.

"Okay can we go?" Alison asks, I groan and put the file back in the cabinet

"Fine come on"

Chloe's POV

"Dad!" Claire yells running up to him and hugging him as I walk down the stairs. Dads just gotten home if you haven't figured that out.

"Hey sweetheart" he says hugging her before kissing my head and hugging my mother before taking Nora from my mother.

I walk over and sit on the couch, he's home early. I know drama will start.

"This weekend make no plans" my mother says as Claire turns the tv on

"Why?" She asks as my dad kisses Nora's cheek.

"We're going to go to the beach have a bit of fun its been a big move" dad says "plus it will be Nora's first beach trip"

"Dad the beach is an hour away" I say not wanting to go

"I want to go" Claire says making mum smile

"Good because we are, Chloe cheer up" my mother says as my father and her start a conversation about their all time favourite subject. Me. As they walked into the kitchen Claire looked at me

"Do you have to ruin everything" she says getting up and going into the kitchen, I roll my eyes and go to walk upstairs when someone knocks on the front door I step down the two steps I had only walked up before opening the door to see Ryan.

"Hey Chlo" he says putting his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

"Hey" I say slowly and confused

"Do you want to hang out for a bit?" He asks just as my dad comes over making Ryan stand up straight then he was and removing his hands from his pockets as my dad looks between the two of us

"Mr hosterman" Ryan says politely

"So you did make a friend" my dad says obviously not liking it's a guy.

"Dad this is Ryan." I whisper awkwardly, my dad shocks me when he holds his hand out to shake Ryan's.

Ryan being the cheerful person he is, puts on a smile and shakes his hand

"We're about to have lunch want to join us?" My dad asks

"Dad Ryan's busy" I say the same time Ryan says "sure thanks"

I give my dad a 'what the hell' look as he lets Ryan in

"What do you're parents do Ryan?" My dad asks as he leads Ryan into the kitchen. I awkwardly follow

"My dads the principle of the school Chloe and I go to" he says as my mum notices him "and my mother is the guidance counsellor" he adds making my dad nod

"It's nice to see you again Ryan" my mother says as she gives Nora to my dad

"You too ms hosterman" he says before smiling at me
