Chapter 26: Abercrombie Model

"Hey are you alright? I saw what happened and-"

"Why didn't you do anything? You let her tease me like that?" I confronted Drew.

"I don't know." He choked. "I mean I did talk to her." Drew added. I furrowed my eye brows in disbelief. "I did..." he shrugged. "Okay okay." I huffed. Drew pulled me close and kissed the top of my head. "When did you talk to her? I didn't see you do it." I spoke. "Well maybe you wouldn't know because you ran off," Drew said watching me gather my things from my locker putting them in my bag, "I talked to her after. I really don't think she'll be bothering you anymore. I took care of it." Drew spoke softly. I swung my bag over my shoulder and began walking out of this hell hole they call school. "Thanks." I said under my breath. Drew followed beside me.

"So, who's shirt is that?" he said eying me. "It's a friends." I told him. "Really? Who?" he asked shocked. I was kind of offended. Like, yeah I made a new friend. Surprised, much? "Who is she?" he asked. "Alley." I said as I heard a shout from behind me. "Heather! Wait up!" Alley said running behind us, out of breath. "You must be Alley." Drew smirked. "Yup that's me. And you're Drew Parker of course." she said walking next to me. "Are you coming over today?" Drew asked. It's kind of what we always do, go to each other's houses after school. "I'm kind of busy today." I mumbled. "Doing what?" Drew raised his eye brows. "Alleys house?" I shrugged the shoulders. He nodded his head slowly.

"Sorry, I didn't know you two had plans. I invited Heather over because she was having a bad day. I can leave if you want." she said seeming a little dissapointed. "No no, we're hanging out today. Drew will be fine." I smiled. I made a new friend and I'm not letting her go that easily. "Yeah, you two have fun." Drew said walking to his car. We went our separate ways.

"So, does she always make fun of you like that?" Alley asked turning the car on. "Huh?" I asked confused. "Emma... Queen Bee... does that ring a bell?" She raised her eye brows. "Oh uh no, well not a lot. But sometimes." I shrugged. "I think she's just jealous you're dating Drew." she smirked. "Really?" I asked playing dumb. "Who wouldn't be? He's athletic, we all know that. And he looks like one of those guys modeling on the Abercrombie bags. It's the total package right?" Alley said dreamy eyed. "Do you have a crush on him?" I winked. "What? No! I wouldn't like one of my friends boyfriends." Alley shook her head. "I don't mind if you do. I'm not like that you know?" I looked out the window. We stopped at a stop light. "I know. But I don't like him I swear." She tightened her grip on the wheel. "Whatever you say..." I put my hands up in surrender.

We pulled into the drive way as I saw a dog running to the car. "This is Wishbone. Wishbone, meet Heather." The dog sat on his behind and barked at me. Obviously well trained. "Cute, what breed is he? or her?" I asked awkwardly, not sure what the gender was. "He's a golden retriever and a yellow lab mixed." Alley patted Wishbones head.

We walked up the stairs into Alleys room. I admired her room. It just gave me a happy feeling. The bright colors put me in a good mood. "Are positive you don't like Drew?" I brought up. "I don't like Drew!" I just laughed at her response. "Why would you even think that?" Alley huffed. "Oh c'mon, you described him as an Abercrombie model, and the total package... it's quite obvious, Alley." I slyly grinned. "Stop that." She punched my arm. "Ow..." I winced. I wouldn't be jealous if she liked him, I really wouldnt! In fact I think it'd be kinda cute if she did... Not that I want her too but I'm just putting it out there. What if she really did? Do I have a competition? I'm interested to know who she likes.
