Chapter 15: Oranges and Scary Movies

I woke up with a big dramatic yawn opening my mouth as widely as I could, I know, attractive right?

I smiled to my self, I was in a good mood, for a few reasons though. One, because it was a weekend and Emma wouldn't have to pick on me today, and two, I was happy because of what happened yesterday. Drew was a completely different person, and different isn't bad it's... better. I felt like I was on cloud nine. Could Drew be anymore perfect? His cocky attitude kind of ruins the whole 'perfect' idea but if he keeps acting like he actually cares for me then maybe he is perfect.

I hummed to my self going down the stairs and into the kitchen. I grabbed a bowl, poured milk into it and began to dump in the cereal. Being the nice little sister I was, I made Trent breakfast to. I began to sing the words to the song Beautiful by Mariah Carey. As I went back and forth from the kitchen counter island to the fridge I twirled making my self dizzy, and I probably looked really idiotic to be honest. When your alone who cares right? I heard someone clapping around the corner, at least I thought I was alone...

"How much of that did you see?" I asked Trent who was still clapping away. "Not much," he shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. I grabbed a rag and through it at Trent from across the kitchen, which I failed because it didn't go far. Of course, Trent being Trent, he just had to laugh at me. Yes, I know my life is a big time fail.

"Be quiet and eat your breakfast," I moaned. "Why thank you," Trent smiled. I smiled back "your welcome," I said. I love my big brother, I couldn't stay mad at him. Not even for a second, he's done so much for me, especially after our mom left us followed by our dumb ass dad, Trent became a responsible boy. He got a job and tried to pay off the bills, also using any money that was in his bank account if he had to. Honestly, I felt bad for him.

"Wow this is amazing!" Trent said being his sarcastic self, all he was eating was cereal. I shook my head, looked down at my feet and smiled to myself. "Get me some oranges," Trent ordered me. I shook my head, he had two legs, he could do it him self. "Pwease," Trent begged giving me that puppy dog face. "No stop, you know I'm not mushy person, I won't fall for it," I said, although we both know that I'm such a softy. "No stop!" I winced closing my eyes tight. I sighed, he got me, "fine..." I groaned stomping my way to the fridge pulling out a can of oranges.

I walked back to the counter Trent was sitting at, trying my hardest to open the can but it was so damn stubborn. Finally I ripped the lid off but it all ended in disaster, orange juice splattered on Trent's face making me laugh instantly. I began to cry and laugh at the same time and I swear I couldn't breathe.

"Come here lil sis, let me give you a kiss," Trent said approaching me. "Nuh uh! Keeps those juicy lips away from me!" I laughed running away from him. I ran upstairs tripping on one of the stairs slowing my self down, I ran into Trent's room and didn't have enough time to close the door. Trent grabbed me by the waist and kissed me cheeks, I pulled away in disgust. "Eww! Now my cheek is sticky," I pouted laughing... Still. He wouldn't stop kissing my cheeks and it was starting to get really gross.

"What can I say? I love my little sister," Trent said with a half smile, "sure..." I said sarcastically. "I'm going to take a shower and then leave for work in about an hour," Trent replied. I nodded in acceptance. I sighed walking to the bathroom to take a shower, my skin was sticky and my hair was like a rats nest.

The warm water hitting my back was a good sensation. I massaged the shampoo and conditioner into my scalp and rinsed the soap off of my body. I turned the water off and stepped out if the shower drying my body and wrapping my hair into the towel. I walked to my bedroom ready to pick my clothes out for the day.
