Chapter 1: You shouldn't talk when your mouth is full of lies

I let a large yawn escaped from my lips, as I stretched my back it made various noises of cracks. I stretched my legs out of my bed and hopped off to my bathroom, which was connected to my bedroom. Only a few more months till summer! I brushed my teeth and my dark brown hair that reached to my waist.

I threw on a pair of light wash shorts and a navy blue tank top that had small light blue floral prints on it, I also applied eye liner and mascara. I grabbed my backpack and I was ready for a long day of school.

"Trent!" I called out to my older brother. "I'm coming!" he yelled, as he grabbed the keys from the kitchen counter swinging them around his index finger, driving me to school.

I walked around the corner of our school hallway to my locker when I bumped into a large, hard chest. I slid on butt dropping all of my things. I let a yelp escape from my mouth. I quickly and awkwardly gathered all my things together, I was about to reach for my notebook when a hand already picked it up for me. I stood up, meeting the golden eyes of Drew Parker.

A player.

"Thanks," I said reaching for my notebook and quickly walked off to my locker. I didn't want to speak to him, he's a player, he isn't worth my time.

I mean... I'm a goody goody, I always listen to the rules and I get good grades, it would be weird if I was seen with someone like Drew. We're two completely different people! He makes out with two girls a week, and I... Well, I've never had my first kiss. I know, I'm sixteen and I should have already had it by now but I haven't! I don't really talk to guys that much to be honest...

As I grabbed the materials I needed for first hour, from my locker I heard someone call my name. "Heather!" a familiar voice called, I glanced to the side as a smile spread across my lips. "Hi," I said, to my best friend Emma.

Emma was flawless, she had bright blue eyes, perfect white teeth, blonde hair, and she had curves, something every guy was drooling over. Almost every where she turned a guy was desperate for her.

While I am stuck with brown eyes, barely any curves, and a few freckles. The only thing I liked about my self was my back dimples and my long brown hair.

"what are you doing?" I heard Drew say behind me, I saw Emma's gaze rise from my eyes to his because he was taller than me. I turned around, unexpected to be so close to Drew, I was only inches away from him. I took a step back, "uhm... what?" I asked confused. "You can't just walk away from me like that," he said.

"Pardon?" I asked, "We just met! I need a name, something..." he said. Wow, he didn't even know my name, yet I've known him since third grade. "It's heather," I said. He nodded his head an crossed his arms, "cool name, My name is-" I cut him off. I could feel the heat rise in my cheeks but I couldn't let him see me blushing. "I know who you are, I've known you since third grade, so know we didn't 'just meet'," I said, I turned gracefully on my heels and walked away with Emma to our first hour class.

He obviously didn't care all these years to even remember me. Drew jogged in front of me and stopped me again, I tried to avoid him and walk around him but he wouldn't move out of my way. "would you just leave me alone?" I asked, "why?" he asked.

Ugh... Boys these days. "Your a player, I'm a goody goody, we just don't belong with each-other, okay?" I said walking past him, he held onto my arm, "I am not a player!" he pouted crossing his arms, Emma laughed amused. "You know, you really shouldn't talk when your mouth is full of lies," I said. Damn... That was harsh of me. But hey, it's true, he was a player and he just said he wasn't, absolute lie.

"can I talk to you alone?" Drew asked, "but there's only two more minutes before class starts," I said worryingly. He gave me an annoyed look, "Emma you should leave with out me..." I said awkwardly.

Once she left I let out a big sigh. "why don't you like me?" Drew asked. "Your a player! You've made out with every girl in this school!" I half shouted. A smirk formed on his lips, "what?" I asked. "Your cute when your mad, I like you," he said, woah... I was taken aback by his comment. I began to blush and I tried to use my hair as a curtain to hide my face.

My stomach began to twist, he made my heart beat a mile a minute. What is this boy doing with my feelings?
