Chapter 24: Jokes on You
"Trent give me my phone back! I'm going to kill you!" I screamed racing down the stairs. "Make me!" Trent shouted running through the house. "You're such an ass!" I yelled catching up to him. "Tell me something I don't know." Trent said. Wait what? Did he seriously just call himself an ass?
Well that back fired, I thought.
I was getting frustrated. I took a big leap and jumped on his back. He fumbled to the ground in the living room. He rolled onto his back and I sat on top of him. "Give it. Now." I said seriously. "No." He said bluntly. "Why not? Don't you have to go to work or something?" I raised an eyebrow.
It was Sunday, ten in the morning. Trent obviously stole my phone and read my texts with Drew. That little nosy pig. "I have two hours to kill, so no I'm fine thanks." He challenged me. I punched Trent in the chest and he barely blinked. Shoot, that didn't hurt? Trent chuckled and smirked. I rolled my eyes, "shut up you big troll." I groaned. "Do you really think I'm going to give you your phone back after you threw that wimpy punch at me?" Trent insulted me.
Trent puckered his lips and made kissy noises. "Heather and Drew sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" He sang.
Oh, so Trent wanted to play that card with me. Fine, if that's the way he wants it. I had a crooked smile on my lips, I raised my eye brows, took a deep breath, and screamed all that I could. You should've seen his reaction. Trent spazzed all over the floor making me get off of him. I took another deep breath and screamed all my heart could handle. He dropped my phone on the ground shutting his eyes tight and covering his ears with the couch pillows. "Shut up!" He yelled.
This was funny.
I stopped and dove onto the carpet for my phone. I put it in the pocket of my sweatpants. I was so going to get my revenge. "You idiot!" I yelled as I charged after him. Trent's eyes widened in fear, it was actually quite hilarious. I jumped onto his back as he ran around the house. "I have human rights! How dare you go through my privacy!" I shouted. "Get... Off!" He hollered. Trent ran up the stairs and dumped me on my bed. I groaned loudly.
I set a password on my phone, knowing my idiotic brother will let the stalking begin again. I put my phone under my pillow, rolled over onto my back, and let out a big sigh. It was Sunday, and I had no plans. School tomorrow though, ew. Mondays are my 'back to reality' days. I needed something to do, I was bored.
Cuddle till noon? I texted Drew. To be honest, I miss him really bad. I know I just saw him yesterday but I don't want to be away from him. I don't want to seem too attached though. I wouldn't want to come off as the desperate pushy girlfriend. I sighed resting my head on my pillow as I waited for a reply.
"Cold beer on a Friday night!" I heard Trent sing across the hall. Okay more like shout. Don't get me wrong, I loved this song, but the volume was to loud for my liking. I rolled my eyes, groaned, and walked to Trent's room. "Shut up you big troll!" I yelled as I banged on his door. His stereo went silent. I smiled and out my hands on my hips. I win! I watched the doorknob turn open. "Can I help you?" Trent said raising an eye brow. "Uh... can you keep the music down?" I huffed. I just wanted some peace and quiet.
Don't let him fool you.
He might have a job but he is very immature.
"Sure I can, but I don't want to." Trent crossed his arms. "Don't you have a job to get ready for?" I asked for the second time. He rolled his eyes and shut the door. This is how I know we're related, we roll our eyes a lot. We get annoyed by people easily. I heard my phone jingle, I ran into my bedroom jumping onto my bed. I checked my phone and read the text Drew sent.
Of course I'll cuddle with you;), it read.
Awe, he's so cute.
Hurry:), I replied.
I seriously can't get enough of him. I always wanted more. I want hug him tight and smell him. I want to kiss him so hard it hurts. Just thinking about him makes me sad, missing him is more painful each time. And sometimes when you miss them you feel sick to your stomach. Have you ever been so attached to a person as quickly as I have? You don't want to let them leave.
The doorbell rang, I jumped off the bed, ran the down the stairs, and before I answered the door I tried to act calm. "I missed you so much." I said as I wrapped my arms around Drews torso hugging him. "I missed you more." Drew chuckled. I smiled as he kissed my forehead. "Cuddle time?" He asked. Why wait? We both raced each other up the stairs. How childish of us.
Our legs intertwined. We faced each other happy as ever grinning. I put my arm around Drew as I rested my head on his chest. I could hear his heart beating steadily. I could feel his chest move up and down slowly from breathing. I closed my eyes. We lay here in silence, but it wasn't an awkward silence, it was a comfortable silence. I kissed his chest and it felt warm. Drew played with strands of my hair twirling them in between his fingers. "Having fun?" I questioned him. "it's so soft though." he murmured. I laugh slightly. Drew sniffed the top of my head and kissed it. I swear he's teasing me.
I was comfortable, very comfortable. My eyes started feeling heavy. I tried to hold them open but I couldn't. I closed my eyes breathing in and out deeply.
You will not fall asleep, I thought.
But I did. I fell asleep. I don't even know why. I guess I got tired from chasing my goofy brother around. But this was good, this was what I needed, just some alone time, sleeping with someone that means a lot to me.
***
This is not cool. Never mess with me when I'm sleeping. "Drew what are you doing?" I asked sleepily. I saw a sheepish smile on his face, then my eyes focused on his hand, whip cream? Why is he holding whip cream? Wasn't he supposed to be sleeping with me? I ran to the bathroom looking in the mirror. A whip cream beered? Very mature Drew. I should've known he was going to play a prank on me, I mean look at who I'm dating? Oh well, I honestly didn't care. This wasn't so bad after all. I walked out of the bathroom into my bed room swiping cream from my cheek and licking my fingers.
"You're not mad?" Drew asked. "No, do you want me to be?" I shrugged my shoulders. He put food on my face, this was like a dream come true! People say diamonds are a girls best friend but they are so wrong. Just buy me a basket full of food and I'm good. Drew shook his head and I chuckled. "Jokes on you." I winked. "Give me a kiss." I said. Drew smiled and kissed me like I asked. His hands moved up the small of my back.
I held his face in my hands and I couldn't help but smile, ruining the kiss, stupid me.
