One Week Later
"Move boy before you get me fired." I said to Bryson.
You know how everybody one that work bae they always flirt with? That's him
"They ain't gone fire nobody." He said.
"They might fire me because I'm new." I said
"No they not. I ain't letting you get fired." He said
"Aww you care about me." I said holding my hands over my heart
"Oh shut up." He said
I went back to stocking the candy and he stocked the gum.
"Kamiya!" I hear.
I turned and saw my manager Lafay.
"Yeah?" I asked
"You were supposed to leave an hour and a half ago." She said
I look at the time.
"Oh shit I lost track of time." I said
"It's good. Just clock out because Hillary gone swear you tryna get extra hours." She said
"Okay lemme finish this and I'll clock out." I said
She nodded and left the isle.
"Awe you wanted to stay here for me?" He asked
"Nigga no I gotta go home and see my boo." I lied
"You got a boyfriend?" He asked
"Nah." I said
"Oh." He said
"Why?" I asked
"Hell yeah." He said
"Oh." I said turning back and stocking
"Well you gone give me your number?" He asked
"Did you ask me for my number?" I said
"Kamiya can I have your number?" He asked
"Of course." I said
We exchanged number and I finished stocking and left. I clocked out and left the store. Driving home I ordered pizza so by time I get there they will be there.
When I got home and opened the door I saw Jamila on the couch sleeping. I guess Mikah didn't come here today.
I walked into the kitchen and saw him eating chips.
"You must really don't like home." I said
"Don't nobody be there. Cam stopped coming over and my dad be out a lot." He said
Someone knocked on the door.
"Here. Can you get that?" I asked him handing him the money.
"Yeah." He said
My phone started to ring and I see that it's Bryson.
Kamiya- Hello?
Bryson- Hey
Kamiya- Wassup?
Bryson- Nothing just wanted to talk to you
Kamiya- About what?
Bryson- Nothing particular
Kamiya- Um okay
Bryson- What you doing?
Kamiya- I'm about to eat.
Bryson- Call me when you finish
Kamiya- Okay
