Chapter 10

When Kate said clubbing she wasn't joking, this place was booming with fancy booze, lazor lights, a lit up dance floor, a balcony of VIP seating, and the unescapably Chris Brown, Beyonce, Major Lazer and few other party song artists blasted. Seeing as this was a very executive club, I was surprised to hear my name on the list when the guards stood to watch at the door. I was convinced I was going to shoved aside and accused for trying to kill the party. My fear was valid; especially since each of the guards looked like long lost siblings of the hulk.

"How do you know this girl again?" Derek asked me before I got into the limo,

" She's a friend," I searched through my purse to make sure I had everything to survive: my phone, mint, written numbers of all the people I trust, Advil and most importantly pepper spray.

" I thought you don't have friends?" Derek looked at me puzzled

" I thought so too, but don't underestimate your lady's power to charm." I teased

" Right." He chuckled

" Trust me its just a girls night," I sincerely hoped

" I had no idea you were into clubbing," he admitted

" We'll have to see tonight, considering this is my first time doing it."

" And you're sure you don't need me there?"

" Derek you have got to trust me," I don't even trust me, and I'm going clubbing with a model for goodness sake.

" I trust you, I just don't trust the male population at the club."

" Awww, how sweet... well gotta go." I kissed him swiftly

" Call me if a guy happens to even look at you the wrong way." He smiled

" Bye babe." I smiled and got into the limo. Now that I was here, I was seriously questioning whether not inviting Derek here was a good idea. I made my way to the bar, past all the dancing people on the glowing dance floor. I pulled up a stool,

" Long Island Ice Tea," I told the bartender, he nodded. I was not planning on getting drunk around people I didn't know, Ice Tea was my safest option. A few seconds later the bartender put it in front of me,

" First time?" the bartender smiled at me.

" Is it that obvious?" I asked sheepishly

" the fact that you ordered that, kind of sold you out." He admitted, and I took a sip of my drink. My throat automatically caught on fire, my insides jumped. What the hell was in this drink?

" My my what is a newbie like you doing here alone?" the bartender smiled almost more amused then seductively.

"Self-entertainment." I teased as took another try at my drink

" So what you are telling me is that you came here just for kicks?"

" Doesn't everyone?"

" Well most people come with friends, actually order something stronger and dance their asses off, and leave with someone around their arms."

" Let me guess, its your first time too?" I teased, he just laughed

" I'd like to think so,"

" Yeah you have the newbie smell, I could sense it from the door."

"Is that why you came here to hit on me?" he smiled

"Great another egotistic, self-confident, delusional guy, I can't seem to shake guys like you off." I downed my drink,
