"I'm serious though, Jimin. I'm completely convinced that my apartment is haunted this time." The lanky teenager pressed his back to the wall. He was standing next to the front door of his small, one bedroom unit on the very top floor of an old building. Yeah, old buildings can creak, leaky faucets are a problem, sure. But do old buildings grab your foot in the middle of the night while you're sleeping all alone in the dark? Nope, that doesn't happen. That's not supposed to happen.

Jungkook clutched his cell phone, pressing it with a great amount of force to his ear, listening to the guy on the receiving end heave a sigh. "Kookie," Jimin started, and Jungkook could almost hear him shaking his head in annoyance. The older of the two let a tiny chuckle sound through the phone before grumbling the rest of his tired out speech. "This again, really? I told you before, your apartment is not haunted. It's just old and creepy. Creepy doesn't mean haunted. It just means you're cheap."
A soft ting caught Jungkook's attention. His head snapped up in it's direction, phone drawn away from his ears as they perked up to listen. The air was still, all but the rustling he could hear from Jimin's end in the dead silence. Another ting rang out, sounding like a gunshot to the young mans tingling senses. His breath caught in his throat and his voice dropped down to a ghostly whisper. "Jimin.. Come over now."
Jimin closed his eyes, taking in a deep, calming breath. He'd been through this many times before, but never could he leave Jungkook to go crazy on his own, though his eyes were heavy with sleep deprivation and he so wished he could pass out. "I'll be right there." And with only a short longing glance back at his inviting bed, the honorable friend dragged himself out into the night.
