I knew I shouldn't have taken him even though he practically begged me. All though I knew Shadow couldn't hold his alcohol very well, I still took him out drinking with me, Sonic, Rouge, Amy, and Knuckles.

He was alright at first...but then Sonic just had to challenge him. And Shadow being Shadow, he didn't back down. Five large mugs of beer and twelve shots of vodka later, he was slurring his words so bad, you would think he was speaking some foreign language. But nope. Shadow was just hopelessly drunk off his ass.

And guess who has the pleasure of escorting him home! That's right! Me! Good ole (Y/n). Well, serves me right. Now I know to never mention going out to drink around him ever again.

Knuckles helped me get Shadow into the back of my car. I closed the door after finally getting him to keep his foot inside. "Sure you won't need any help getting him home?" he asked. "I can handle him. It's my fault for bringing him out anyway. I should take full responsibility," I sighed.

I walked over to Sonic, who stood by the entrance of the bar with Amy and Rouge. He was still being scolded by them. And from the looks of it, he was barely listening. So I reached past them, grabbing the collar of his shirt.

"But you...you knew this was going to happen. You are going to compensate me. No 'buts' about it. I'm serious," I said. Sonic seemed to be listening then. I gave him an evil glare before turning his shirt loose.

"Bye, (Y/n). Sorry about all this. We hope you and Shadow make it home safely," Amy said. "Thanks, Ames. I'll call you guys in when I make it home," I said. Rouge pat my shoulder. "Good luck with him. You'll need it," she said. I nodded listlessly before heading back to my car. Taking my keys out my pocket, I unlocked the driver door.

"Hey, wait!" Sonic called out. I looked up, giving him a menacing look. "What's going to happen if I don't compensate you?" he grinned.

This bitch. He thinks everything is a fucking game. I don't play.

"I'll come to your house and beat your ass in your sleep. Don't fuck with me, Sonic."

He smirked, lifting his hands in the air as if surrendering. "Alright, alright. I get it."

I rolled my eyes before climbing into my car and putting the key in the ignition. My car roared to life. Shadow imitated the noise from the backseat, making me sigh softly. I put on my seatbelt.

Putting the shift into drive, I pulled out onto the main road and kept a steady speed. There wasn't a lot of traffic, which was good because I wanted to get Shadow home as fast as possible.

"(Y/n) ~ W-W-Where are we...g-going? I was hav...having sooooooo much fun!" Shadow giggled. I glanced at the rear view mirror. Shadow was now sitting straight up, his cheeks a rosy red, his eyes hazed over, and his lips smiling amusedly. He swayed from side to side. "We're going my house. You drank too much and you need to rest," I replied.

He hiccupped, shaking his head. "No...I don't. C-Can I sit in the fr...front with you?" he asked. "No. Now put on your seatbelt," I said.

"Okay...but after I get into my seat!"

This fool tried to climb ass first into the passenger seat. "Shadow! Sit down!" I yelled. But he continued until he reached his goal.

"Now that wasn't so...*belch*...hard. Now for my s-s-seatbelt!" he smiled at me. I sighed heavily. "Just put it on already."

He reached up behind him and grabbed the buckle. He brought it back around him and down to buckle it. Shadow missed the thing you buckle it into so many times, it wasn't even funny. I reached over and quickly buckled it for him. "Thank youuuuuu! In commemoration of you helping me...I shall sing you a f-fantastic song!"
