Shadow x Injured! Reader

Sonic and Shadow came to pick me up from the hospital. I got hurt pretty bad during a fight with Eggman. I groaned in pain as I tried to get out of the bed by myself.

"(Y/n), we need to help you,"Sonic sighed. I shook my head. "No, I can help myself,"I said. Shadow shook his head at me as I flopped back onto the bed.

It hurt too much. They brought me some clothes but I don't even know if I'll be able to put those on myself. But I will.

Shadow gave me my clothes and they stepped out of the room. I changed into a (f/c) tank top and a pair of black jeans. Sonic and Shadow came back inside. Shadow helped me into my sneakers, which made me blush.

Sonic sat there and smirked at my face. I'd punch that smug look off his face if my shoulder hadn't gotten dislocated.

When Shadow tried to help me up, I yelped in pain. He accidentally touched one of my cracked ribs. I almost fell back but Shadow caught me.

"I'm sorry,"he said, giving me a worried look. I gave him a small smile. "It's fine,"I said. He managed to help me up without hurting me again.

We left the hospital. Shadow held me close by his side while he helped me walk. My right ankle was pretty messed up too. I tore a tendon in it.

His arm was wrapped gently around my hips. I blushed when he pulled me closer to him. "Are you alright?"he asked. I nodded.

Sonic walked on the other side of me. "So, (Y/n), I know this is sort notice but I have to go to Soleanna for a couple days. So you'll be staying with Shadow for the time being."

I looked over at him with a soft glare. He smirked in my face.

He knows that I...have feelings for Shadow. It's bad enough that he's holding me this close. It's going to be even worse with me staying with him!

When we got to Shadow's house, Sonic gave me a gentle pat on the head.

"Be good for Shads. Shads, take care of (Y/n). Oh! And there's some clothes for you in Shadow's room when you get ready to take a bath,"Sonic said.

"Okay, okay, mom,"I said, rolling my eyes playfully. Sonic pinched my cheeks. I whined in pain before he let me go.

"Okay, I have to go now. Bye, guys!"Sonic smiled before running off. Shadow quietly helped me inside. He gently laid me down on the couch.

"I'll have the bed ready for you in a minute. Are you hungry?"he asked.

"A-A little. The hospital food isn't exactly tasty,"I chuckled softly. Shadow gave me a small smile before heading into the kitchen.

He came back a few minutes later with a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Shadow sat down on the coffee table.

"Say ahh,"Shadow said. I blushed. "I-I can feed myself, Shadow. You don't have t-to feed me,"I said. He shook his head. "Your shoulder is still sore so you can't really lift your arm. Now, say ahh,"Shadow said.

I opened my mouth some and Shadow fed me. He fed me the whole bowl then took the now empty bowl to the kitchen.

Ugh, that was embarrassing.

Shadow went upstairs for a few minutes then came back.

"Okay. The bed is set. Ready for me to help you up?"he asked. I nodded.

Shadow walked over to the couch. He managed to get me off the couch and up the stairs with no problem.

But then when we got into the bedroom, I lost my footing and ended up falling onto the bed...pulling Shadow down on top of me.
