Sibuna Sacrifice // House of Anubis Season 4

All of the students were scattered round Anubis House, it was 8pm. Sibuna had arrived back at midnight, they didn't find Charlie, or any traces of him.

The day had been quiet, nothing new was discovered and no new knowledge in anyone head; good or bad. There had been little conversation between people; Joy had been hanging around with Patricia and Mara a lot, in order to avoid Jerome. Fabian had been hanging around with Jerome and Eddie, putting off talking to Mara. And, as usual, Lavender and Nina had been together.

Fabian, Eddie and Jerome sat in silence, they were all doing homework. Eddie pulled out his phone and messaged Fabian, 'Dude, we need to go down to the chasm TONIGHT!'

"Ooh, who you messaging, Rutter?" Jerome was quick to ask, as soon as Fabian's phone beeped.

Fabian glanced down to his phone and quickly read the message from Eddie, "As if it's any of your business," He answered. He then quickly responded, 'We'll go down with the others after lights out.'

"So you're getting text messages, too?" Jerome looked to Eddie, after his phone sounded.

"Guess you're just unpopular, Jerome," Eddie laughed, after checking Fabian's text and subtly nodding to him in agreement.

Jerome just rolled his eyes, before looking back down to the textbook that lay in his hands.

"I'm just going to-," Fabian signalled to the door, before leaving.

"So, we ar-" Fabian walked into the room. As soon as he did, Patricia, Joy and Mara slammed closed laptops and books.

"Fabian Rutter!" Patricia immediately stood up and walked over to him, after acknowledging that it was him. "This," She grabbed hold of Fabian's hand, then semi-lightly slammed it against the door, "Is for knocking on the door!"

"Alright, geez," Fabian snatched his hand away and rubbed it where it had been whacked against the door, "What are you guys doing anyway?" He walked further into the room and shut the door behind him.

"Researching the watch and date," Patricia answered, flinging herself back on her bed, "What brings you up here?"

"We're going down the chasm to figure out the combination code tonight," Fabian informed them.

The three of them nodded, "What time?" Joy asked.

"After lights out," Fabian told them, before heading to the door. He paused, his hand on the door handle, then turned round to face Mara, "Hey, Mara? Can I please speak to you?"

"Sure," Mara nodded, before standing up and following Fabian out of the room.

"Anything the matter?" She asked, once they were both out the room and the door was shut.

"Mara... I may have, um, lied to you earlier," Fabian confessed, his voice fading with every word he spoke.

"Earlier?" Mara looked confused, "We've hardly spoken today."

Fabian paused for a few seconds, "Not earlier today, Mara. Earlier a few weeks back."

"Okay, so... Do you want to be a bit more specific?"

"The day that I told you I still liked you," Fabian mumbled, dropping all eye contact, "I lied, and I'm sorry."

"Why would you tell me that?" Mara sounded and looked hurt, "You still like Nina, don't you?" She followed up, before Fabian had a chance to answer.

"I- Uh- No- Yea- Mayb- Uh..." Fabian stuttered.

"How could you do this to me, Fabian?" Mara growled, "When you said that I still liked me, I thought that you meant it."
