Peridot pov

Monday. A day almost everyone hates.

I put my headphones on and walk with my hands in my pockets.

I start to hum, suddenly someone runs up to me and hugs me.

I look down. She pulls away and looks up at me.

Alexa. She was my one and only friend in my other school.

Peri - Alexa?

She nods and smiles, i smile back.

Alexa - how you been, Peridork

Peri - good, uh, I met a really- nice girl

She nods again.

Alexa - cool

Peri - what are you- doing here?

Alexa - oh, I just moved here, I get to go to your school now! Isnt that great?! wanna walk together? Oh by the way I live here

She points at the light yellow ish house that is right besides us. I nod and smile.

Alexa - so? wanna walk together?

Peri - sure

She grabs my hand and i blush. Wait, why am I blushing?

We start to walk.

Lapis pov

I walk out of my house and make my way towards school, I should walk with peri, oh! i should go to his house

I run towards peris house, isse him turn turn the corner of his street.

I walk over but when i turn the corner... My heart shatters.

Hes hugging some other girl...

The girl pulls away and they talk a little. Then she points at a house and peri nods along.

Then she grabs his hand and they begin to walk.

I stare after them as they walk away. I hang my head and walk to the other side of the street. I can feel a tear roll down my eye.

I wipe it away and sniff.

Peridot pov

I wonder how lapis is doing...?

Alexa - hey, look

She nods towards the other side of the street. My eyes widden and i smile.

Alexa - she looks sad

Peri - shes my- girlfriend

I let go of Alexas hand and she looks suprised. I run across the street and stand infront of lapis.

She bumps into me.

Lapis - oh, sorry...

She looks up at me. I smile and she frowns. My smile fades.

Peri - are you okay?

She looks down. I hug her. She grabs my shoulder and pushes me away.

Peri - Lapis?

She walks past me. Before i can run after her, Alexa runs over and grabs my arm.

Alexa - Come on, lets just go to school, she seems upset

I sigh and we make our way to school. Me thinking of lapis the whole time...

I have to talk to her...
