Soon enough, after a long realization from the news that we've recieved, a nurse had said that my wife is ready for the visit but she's still unconscious. Unconscious but not dying. Atleast. We've thanked the nurse and rushed to the room where my wife was. We've just stopped our tracks when we're in front of the room. Well, they did what I did. I stopped to ponder what I should do when we open the door or even react---but I realized that's not what I should think of right now!

"Open it, Nyegie." biglang sabi ni Brian. Napatango ako.

I slowly open the door and a pale white room greeted us. My eyes landed to the hospital bed and like what I've expected, Virhelle was lying there. I saw two women dressed like any other nurses around her checking something on her dextrose and her heart beat monitor. I care less 'bout them instead I scurried my way to my wife and let myself check her out.

I was relieved to see her features now better than before. The bloods on her body was no where to be found. The wounds are now plastered with bandages. And her skin is not paler than the last time I saw her. I feel relieved seeing her okay but still I'm aching for our loss child and that would be so hard to tell to my wife if she wakes up. She will not accept it. No. Not right away, ofcourse. It will take time. Much of time.

"Oh Hell! Mabuti't okay na siya!" rinig kong biglang sambit ni Maxine habang naka-simangot ang kaniyang mukha ngunit galak naman ang nangingibabaw na ekspresyong binibigay ng kaniyang mga mata.

"Thanks God! Hindi na tayo kakainin ng pag-aalala sa kanya ngayong maayos na ang kalagayan niya. Ngayon, hihintayin na lamang nating magising siya. Mabuti nalang talagang maayos na siya ngayon." ngiting sabi naman ni Kaydee.

Nakaramdam naman ako ng akbay sa balikat ngunit kahit hindi ko pa tignan ang may-ari ay alam ko nang si Brian iyon.

"Sabi ko sayo, magiging maayos din siya hindi ba?" tanong niya sa akin kaya napa-tango naman ako. Tama nga siya.

Kahit nga talaga na walang ka-siguraduhang magigising ang asawa ko o hindi sa mga panganib niyang napagdadaanan ay dapat kong itanim sa aking isipan na siya'y lalaban at magigising pa rin kahit ano man ang mangyari. I should remain my faith to her no matter what.

"Kinakain lang talaga ako ng pag-aalala Bry. Pasensya na."

"Ano ka ba tol? Syempre wala 'yon dahil alam ko naman kung gaano kasakit sa 'yo ang mga nangyari at natural lang ang mga naging reaksyon mo. Naiintindihan kita. Kahit pa siguro bugbogin mo 'yong doktor ay hindi kita pipigilan para maipalabas mo lang ang mga nararamdaman mo." sabay tawa niya kaya napa-iling naman ako sa kanyang biro.

"I will sleep behind the bars if I will do that."

"We both know you can easily get out if that'll happen." he wiggled his eyebrows at me and I just chuckled a little. Yeah, maybe having myself as a respected businessman for an excuse on not having myself caught by the police is a bad act but I guess that's how it is.

We were just interupted when we heard sudden knocks from the door. Agad kaming nagka-tinginan at sabay na napatingin sa pintuan. Bumukas ito't ipinakita sina Ethos at Felis na ngayo'y iba na ang mga suot. I guess they were out to change their clothes that wasn't changed since last night while mine wasn't changed since the party. That sucks, I know. And I just realized that right now. Damn.
