Den took her hand away from mine.

"That's not the problem and you know it," Den said. "I'm giving L.A. a chance, Alyssa. I'm giving myself a chance to be happy, truly happy."

My tears started falling. I didn't know what to do. I was losing Den. I was losing the only woman I have ever loved.

"Goodbye, Alyssa."

I stood up when Den stood up but she slipped through my hands. I wasn't able to hold on to her. She got away.

I couldn't follow her because I didn't know what to do. I didn't understand what happened and I don't know what needed to be done to get Den back.

I sat down again and tried to think but nothing made sense. I wiped my tears instead and settled the bills so I could leave. I needed time to think. I needed to understand.

But as I was passing by the table next to ours, I was surprised to see her laughing merrily while looking at me.

Fuck.

What the hell was she doing there?

Why was she laughing?

Did she hear anything?

"Lord, I know I asked for crazy but this is really crazy," she said as if talking to herself and I stood there waiting, hoping that she would be as surprised to see me.

"Take a seat, Alyssa," she said motioning to the seat in front of her.

"Why?" I asked nervously.

"Because..."

She started playing a recording on her phone.

FUCK.

She recorded almost the whole conversation I had with Den! I looked at her in confusion and worry.

"Take a seat," she said again.

So I did.

My heart was pounding. Cold sweat came out of my body and I felt like my airway was constricting.

"That guy truly would do anything for his career. Kaya pala nakipagbreak sakin," she said disbelievingly while shaking her head.

I did not say a word.

"Hindi mo ba alam ang rules ng break up, Alyssa?" she asked. "You never do it in a public place no matter how private you already think it was. Tingnan mo, meron tuloy ako nito."

She waved her phone in front of me.

"E-erase it, please," I said, trying to sound confident.

Why the hell did she have to hear it? Why the hell did she record it? Fuck.

"Bakit ko naman gagawin 'yun?" she smirked. "I have a perfectly good weapon in my hand to make you do whatever I want you to do."

"What?"

"Right now, you're at my mercy, Alyssa, or the whole world will know about this," she gestured to her phone.

"Are you threatening me?!" I asked in disbelief.

What the fuck was going on?

"It's not a threat," she sneered.

Right that moment, I hated her.

I have never hated her before. We weren't exactly good friends but there was no bad blood between us except for what the fans were imagining.

I hated how she was looking at me with a smirk on her lips and evil mirth on her eyes.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because I'm going to go crazy. Ang malas mo lang at nataong ikaw ang mapagbubuntunan ko," she replied.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" I asked, unable to hide my annoyance.

This woman truly was crazy. She wasn't even making sense.

And then she laughed.

"Whatever you thought you knew about me or you've heard about me, disregard it. I'm not who you think I was. Not anymore. Whatever you thought was beyond me, it isn't. In fact, ngayon pa lang iniisip ko na kung anong mga ipagagawa ko sayo," she told me and it scared me.

She seemed crazy.

"This is going to be fun!" she laughed again.

I swallowed hard.

This was not happening.

I was not gonna be blackmailed into doing anything I didn't want to do.

But the look she gave me and the promise in her smile said otherwise.

I hated her.

I hated Mika Reyes.
