“How can we not find them? I’m so lost,” I groaned.
“We might need to get some air help in here,” Colleen said to Jeremy.
We all stopped when we heard a scream and the sound of running roller coaster.
“Do you hear that?” Chance gulped.
“Someone’s on it,” Jeremy shielded his eyes and tried to look at the rollercoaster, “I’ll go look, Chance and Grayson come with me. Colleen you and the rest stay here and continue looking for the others.”
"Daddy!" I heard Sonya's voice sound as we began to walk away.
"Sonya!” I yelled as I saw a man holding my daughter tightly to him.
"Daddy! You found me!" she cried happily and struggled to get out of the man’s grasp.
“Put the girl down,” Colleen said drawing a gun.
“Sure, but if you get her, you won’t save the others in time,” he taunted as Sonya glanced nervously over towards the roller coaster.
Solara must be on that, my mind registered as I felt my stomach drop. Who was this psycho?
“We’ll take our chances,” Colleen said and shot the guy in the leg as he dropped my daughter.
I held my arms out as she came stumbling over to me and started sobbing into my shirt. “Daddy, I’m scared.”
“Shh, baby girl, it’s okay now,” I smoothed her hair and felt tears fall down my face. “Sonya where’s mommy?”
“There,” she hiccupped and pointed towards the roller coaster.
"We’ll go get her,” Jeremy said and took off with the guys.
“Where’s Mary?” I asked her again.
She tugged my hand and began walking past a row of tents where there was a creaking sounding constantly.
“America!” Grayson yelled and ran over towards the panel to stop the wheel as I stopped walking when I saw how horrible she looked. First a dog crate and now this!
Once the wheel stopped spinning, Grayson and Colleen slowly undid the straps on her wrists and rubbed the feeling into them before undoing the ones on her legs. She fell into Grayson’s arms and held her head as they took off the duct tape.
“Move,” Colleen ordered as Grayson laid her down before Mary began vomiting profusely. Who knew how long she had been on that wheel?
“Anyone have some water?” Colleen asked as our dad grabbed a bottle from the bag.
Colleen dabbed some on Mary’s neck and face before handing her the bottle and helping her drink.
When she was able to find her voice after a few minutes she asked, “where’s Solara?”
“We’re getting her sweetie,” Colleen told her and helped her up from the position she was in.
“I need to go get Solara,” I told my dad as we started walking past the roller coaster.
“We’ll take them back towards the car and to the hospital.”
The guy that Colleen had shot hadn’t moved an inch after a few wounds to the legs. The bastard deserved that and much more I thought as they hauled him into the back of a car.
“Mommy needs help?” Sonya tugged on my arm.
“I know baby, I’m going to get her,” I kissed her forehead, “stay with grandpa and I’ll be back in a few minutes.”
“Promise?” she held up her pinkie finger as I looped mine with hers.
“I promise sweetheart,” I kissed her forehead again before running towards the rusted ride of death.
