~ hello beautiful people! I can still hardly believe that I've hit over 500+ reads in such a short period of time, it's truly amazing to me.

this is just a thank-you message to everyone who continues to support me! I hope that 'Wolf' evokes as much happiness in you, as the reader, as it is for me, as I bring the story to life :D

I decided that a little character profile might help the audience be better acquainted with the main characters so here it is

- Valentina Rivers -

Portrayed as strong-willed, independent, quick-witted and clever, Valentina appears to be handling life perfectly fine. This is not the case, with a serious escapism mentality, she can only handle reality for so long until she feels the need to throw herself into a distraction. This complex stems from her inability to deal with a past tragedy.

Valentina's anxiety often plays up whenever she feels as though a situation is out of her control, this is why Wolf makes her feel uneasy sometimes. The need to control can also be attributed to the tragedy. Due to the immense guilt she keeps inside, Valentina is unable to forgive herself and often wishes that she were in the place of her sister (we know that her sister is in hospital and was attacked in front of Valentina, leaving her in a state of somewhat lifelessness)

It is important to note that the event wasn't Val's fault, it was an unfortunate 'wrong place, wrong time' sort of thing- however of course, Valentina blames herself and this is something she needs to overcome to grow.

The aftermath of the event left Valentina utterly isolated from her family, her parents are workaholics who seem to have a rocky personal relationship as well. Valentina has a somewhat stable relationship with her older brother Matty, although he is also extremely preoccupied with work. Due to her parents distance after the event, Valentina is afraid to trust, because if her parents could betray her like this- why couldn't anyone else?

Valentina is depicted as fiery but playful, intensely loyal and inherently curious. This is evident in her relationships with Wolf and Ash, in particular.

- Wolf Carter -

Portrayed as "erratic, reckless and compelling", Wolf is the talk of the school, without even trying to be- at least that's how he thinks he comes off. Wolf Carter seeks attention from elsewhere because he's always been pushed into the shadows. Perhaps, this is why he was drawn to Valentina, because she gives him attention willingly (of course, for her own selfish reasons.. remember that escapism mentality).

Moreover, Wolf Carter thrives on adrenaline, his dangerous and occasionally, illegal behaviour is evident of this. The obsession with adrenaline keeps Wolf busy from being alone with his destructive thoughts for too long- this is similar to Valentina's obsession with distractions.

Wolf Carter is hiding a messy, empty family life that the audience have yet to been exposed to. It is this, among a chemical imbalance that seem to fuel Wolf Carter's impulsivity. Nicknamed as "insane", "sociopathic" by his classmates, they aren't far off, Wolf's charm and delinquency aren't just a cry for attention- they're inherent characteristics of his personality.

Wolf always fails to accept responsibility for his actions, this is because he considers almost everything as a joke, this is further reflective in his lack of short-term and long-term goals- in fact, nowadays his time revolves around annoying Valentina Rivers to the brink of insanity.

Speaking of Valentina, Wolf doesn't do feelings, he is distant and cold, this is often why he runs far away whenever he feels as thought Valentina is getting too close. Wolf hides under layers upon layers of superficial charm. So far, it can be safe to say that the only feelings Wolf has for "princess", is intrigue, and somewhat of a mild obsession. Wolf's empathy occasionally is evoked by Valentina though, which is important to note. We can see this in his body language now and then. Nonetheless, this inability to connect is reflective in Wolf's lack of relationships.

~ as you can see, I've expanded on the psychology of my two main characters, more so than their physical attributes. I've now realized that I'd rather leave their appearance to the reader's imagination (why? b/c it's fun, of course!)

I hope this clears up any confusions, however I do hope that I have been portraying this all well, I appreciate any comments in relation to where I can improve, leave them below!! ~
