CHAPTER 5

RED'S POV

After Yn and I talked, we head back to my house. She kept asking me plenty of stuffs and I answered them, carefully. I know that she might think that i'm still not trusting her but I'm just keeping her out of my mess.

She asked me how I was punished last time, I almost breakdown crying but I managed not to. I told her I was just beaten, I still doesn't have the guts to tell her that I lost it.

"Red, please mag ingat ka. Tell me if he did it again. I just want to be with you and stay with you so I can make sure that you're ok." Yn hugged me while still sobbing.

"I will Yn, Thank you. Pakiusap, atin na lamang muna ito Yn." She looks at me na parang pinag aaralan ang mukha ko. I'm genuine about everything.

"R-Red, baka naman pwedeng sa amin ka muna-------"

"That can't be Yn. Dad will get mad and I-I'll be punished again."

Kinuha ko ang kamay nya at pinakitang determinado ako sa mga sinasabi ko. Later on, she nodded and I sighed because of relief.

"Thank you." We hugged again bago ako lumabas ng kotse ni Yn at tuluyan na ulit pumasok sa bahay.

I checked my watch, it's 4:00pm. Nang makapasok ako ay sinalubong ako ni Ate Nica at sinabing ilang beses na daw tumawag si Dad kung nakadating na ba daw ako.

Umakyat ako sa kwarto ko at sumalampak sa kama. Doon ako napahagulhol dahil sa kanina ko pang pagpipigil. Facing Yn knowing what happened to me made feel more ashamed than I used to.

I hope that she'll keep it as a secret. I don't want her to get involve from my shits. Dad is a powerful man, and he don't do killings, he used to hire someone to do it for him.

I didn't know that I fell asleep between my tears and sobs. Nagising lang ako nang maramdamang may humahaplos ng pisngi ko.

"Shhhhhh" I stiffed. My heart pounds faster and I'm holding my breath.

"I-I'm a g-g-g-good girl D-daddy." I felt a hot liquid running on my cheeks.

"Just do everything I said, you won't be punished as bad as last time."

"P-please Daddy, k-kahit po a-ano wag lang po y-yon." I plead.

"You're a Bad girl." Daddy whispered.

No no, I don't want that to happen again. Nag aalinlangang napalunok ako kasabay ng pagpikit saka umiiyak na tumango.

YN'S POV

Me and Red keep in touch simula noong nakapagusap kami tatlong araw na ang nakakaraan. Ngayon ay nag aantay ako sa usual spot namin ni Red sa library habang pinapa-access nya yung card nya sa librarian.

All this time, hindi ko alam na hindi lang yung pressure nya sa Daddy nya and dahilan kung bakit lagi nya itong sinusunod kundi dahil kay Tito Drew mismo.

Hindi pa din mag sink in sa akin kung paano nya ito itinago sa lahat. I mean she looked well, she smiles so real that will divert the thought that she's being abused.

I looked at her again, from my table to the librarian's nangingibabaw sya sa lahat ng nasa loob ng library na ito. I mean, she isn't just beautiful but it's because she's unique. Elegant in every way she is.
