Thinking out loud

The moon starts to rise and you're in the back of Shawn's car. It was silent, more of a comfortable silence than an awkward one. You can hear shuffling as Shawn gets up from his seat and moves next to you.

"What was that for?" you chuckled. He simply shrugs and rests his head on your shoulder. You relax on each other, Shawn playing with the loose string of your hoodie whilst the faint music of 'thinking out loud' by Ed Sheeran starts to play.

'Take me into your loving arms, kiss me under the light of a thousand stars.'

You sigh and begin to fall asleep, and the final thing you feel is your and Shawn's hands intertwining and the hum of his lips against your hair. You wanted it to stay like this, forever.
