Chapter 32

Lydia's POV

I sat there sobbing into my hands until I felt warm hands touch my cheek, I looked up and saw Chris.. looking at me with a soft smile.

"Hey baby, you okay?" He asked.

"Don't call me that" I said before standing up and rubbing away my tears.

"Why not? It's not like you and Skye are together anymore" he said sarcastically.

"Oh you think that means I'll go back to you?" I spat.

"Well I thought maybe we could try" he whispered back as he inched closer to me.

"Get away from me" I look at step back.

"You like it" he smirked and he put his hands on my hips.

I pushed his hands off of me. "Do you think I'd be pushing you away if I liked it, now get the hell away from me" I yelled at him.

We were a few steps away from each other now. "Oh so you're playing hard to get" he smirked again "I like it, it turns me on"

He grabbed my waist again and brought me closer to him. I saw Jordan walk around the corner and see us, he just stood there and I could sense the fire in his eyes.

"Do you really think force is going to make me attracted to you" I said to Chris.

All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain across my face, he slapped me.

"You bitch" I heard him say and then he was all of a sudden on the floor.

Jordan was now on top of him and throwing punches. He hit him once more and then stood up.

"Don't you ever touch her again" he said before walking over to me while Chris stayed laying on the empty hallway floor.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"I'm fine" I said quietly then turned around to walk away.

"Are you seriously mad at me right now?!" He said as he walked behind me.

"Jordan just stop okay? I'm not mad at you, I need to get to class" I said to him.

"Lydia he hit you, that's not ok. You can't just act like that didn't happen" he yelled after me.

"I'm not acting like it didn't happen Jordan, I'm walking away from it" I spat back.

"What if I hadn't walked around that corner?" He said pointing down the hallway. "What if he hit you again huh?"

"Then I guess I'd be a little bruised" I yelled.

"Why are you being like this?" He yelled back.

"Because I'm trying not to love you right now, and if this is what I have to do then I'm doing it"

"Why are you throwing us away?" He grabbed my hands and pulled me so I was facing him. "How much more convincing will this take?"

"God Jordan why does this matter so much to you?!" I said as I threw my hands in the air. "Just let it go"

"No, I won't let it go. I refuse to let you go" he demanded.

"I'm done arguing with you, I'm going  to class" I said ending the conversation.

I started walking down the hallway and then Tyra came running up behind me.

"Lydia, Lydia!"

"Tyra, Tyra!" I mocked back.

"You aren't going to believe what Luke just told me" she said through breaths of air and panting.

"What?"

"He told me that Shanda and Jordan have slept together... It wasn't recently though, it was before you two.

My jaw dropped, I almost couldn't breathe.

I left Tyra standing there and I turned back around to where Jordan was and I caught sight of him, he was standing at his locker.

"You've slept with her?!" I yelled to him.

His eyes shot up. "What...?"

"You know what, you've slept with Shanda" I scowled. "Why didn't you tell me"

"I didn't think I had to" he whispered.

"You told me there was nothing between you two, you said all you did was hang out a few times" I yelled.

"I'm sorry" he whispered again.

"No you're not, all you do is lie about her and I don't understand why. I think you should just be with her instead Jordan because I'm done"

3 weeks later

Lydia's POV

It's been 3 weeks since the breakup, we share occasional eye contact and smiles but we haven't really spoken. Tomorrow is grad, I was supposed to be there with him but I don't know if I even want to go, I still have his invite to the after party though.

"Lyd are you going to cab or not?" Tyra asked while we sat in the cafeteria eating.

"I think so, it might be hard though" I replied.

"Ok well I've got an invite from Tessa so I'm going and I'm getting smashed, and I think you should too" she said laughing.

"Well I mean it's not a bad idea" I laughed back.

"Just don't even talk to Jordan, let him do his thing and you do your thing" she stated.

"Yeah well Jordan's thing is trying to get back together" I said as I picked through my food.

"Then why don't you get back together with him? You're clearly still in love with him and he's proved that he's not into Shanda at all." She explained.

"Well he's slept with her so he must have some feelings for her." I said back.

"Ya but who knows how long ago that was, it could have been a year ago for all we know, I'm not defending him, I think what he did was a total dick move but he's been good lately, he misses you so much and you miss him" She explained again.

"I do miss him" I whispered.

"Then give him one more chance..."

"I'll see how tomorrow goes" I said as I took a bite of my muffin.
