Lydia's POV

I took my first steps into the second semester, still have no clue what my first class is but I'm sure Tyra will know. Tyra, where is she?

I walked around the corner and found Tyra at her locker talking to Nina, the third member of our girl squad. Nina wasn't really into the conversation, she was more interested in what was going on on her phone screen but Tyra continued talking anyway.

"Hey guys, anyone care to share what our first class is" I spoke with a laugh

"How did I know you were going to ask that" joked Tyra.

Nina laughed along "We have English with Mrs. Mitchell"

"Tyson said she's starting us off with an essay first thing" Tyra groaned

"Do you honestly believe anything that comes out of Tyson's mouth?" I asked Tyra sarcasticly

Tyra laughed "Yeah good point"

*ring ring*

"Oh shit that's the bell" Nina cursed, scrambling to grab her books

"I still need to grab my stuff, I'll meet you guys in class" I say before running to my locker

As I turned the corner to get to my locker I ran into someone with dark hair and green eyes

"Are you skipping class Lydia?" Jordan spoke with a smirk

"No!" I spat. "But I'm gonna be late if you don't move" I said with grin

Every time I tried to get around Jordan he would move the same way as me, purposely so I can't get past

"Jordan I have to get my stuff" I explained as I playfully pushed him

"Lydia stop pushing me, you're being a bully" Jordan teased

"Jordan"
"Lydia"

We kept eye contact for what felt like forever, until Mr. James, the high school science teacher came out of his room and told us to get to class before the national anthem started.

Tyra's POV

Ugh what is taking Lydia so long I'm tired of listening to Nina talk

"Then I let go of the steering wheel and said *I don't feel like driving* and he got mad and had to grab the steering wheel" Nina sharing yet another story about Jeremy

Nina oh my God that's been done before, but good try, I thought to myself.

Lydia walked in the classroom with rosy cheeks and a little smirk on her face "what's that look all about" I teased to Lydia

"I'll tell you about it later, be quiet" Lydia whispered

"I think I'm going to die, these cramps are insane right now" complained Nina as she walked away to go to the bathroom

"Thank God you're here, Nina would not stop taking about Jeremy and her dying uterus. I was ready to slap her"

"You wouldn't have slapped her and you know it" added Lydia

"Okay fine, I was going to wait for you to get here and tell you to do it" I added quickly

The national anthem started to play so we stood waiting for it to be over

"So are you pumped for this weekend or what?!" I whispered to Lydia making sure I wasn't heard by the teacher

"Um definitely, I'm definitely taking the easy job with the score clock though" Lydia whispered back

"Girls" glared Mrs Mitchell

"Sorry" Lydia mouthed

This weekend was the boys basketball tournament and being on the girls team we have to help out with score keeping. In other words, a weekend for us girls to stare at hot basketball boys.

The national anthem ended and Nina wandered back into the room and took a seat beside me, with Lydia to my other side. Mrs. Mitchell told us to get out a pen and a piece of paper and write a poem about our favorite childhood memory

"Lydia I need a pen"
"Me too" whispered Nina

"Here" Lydia tossed us her pencil case and laughed. "You might need to dig through the lotions and lip balms first" added Lydia

"Thanks friend" I said to Lydia

"Guy's help, I hurt everywhere" Nina yelled

I looked at Lydia and rolled my eyes. This is going to be a long class.
