A few weeks went by since you started you're volunteering work.

You know, Ive been ashamed of my family for quite a bit of reasons, wasting money on cigarettes and lottery tickets, getting over tempered when drinking to much, abusing me, my brother, my sister, and each other, but being too white has to be a first.

Telesforas Spanish speaking was starting to make you're head spin, making you wish you were just born in the language.
Sometimes you just give up trying to translate what she says or talk to her on your own. When you needed something you just point at it, when you need someone you just say there name.  It was the easiest way, you tried switching partners but they wouldn't let you.

Other than that, working with all these mental patient children was calming you, they weren't as bratty as you thought they would be. After all they weren't like normal kids, these kids were calmer and some just quiet, maybe because the calmness of the hospital ran through them.

The man you saw that tempted you, you only saw around a few times, trying to be near him any chance you could. You didn't know why, you just acted on instinct. But other than that, you never learned anything new about him. You really wanted to know how he got those scars however.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a tugging on your shirt.
A little boy with pitch black hair with bright blue eyes and pale skin, his under eyes were light pink, and his cheeks were as well.
He pointed to Telesfora talking to a girl, which didn't understand her, her constant babbling made it seem like she was trying to be angry.
You sighed, and walked up to her.
"Telesfora"
"se guarda el TOCAR DE TODO."
Ok, never learned that...
"Asi asi, los niños son molestos"
you tried to say in the best of your ability to tell say,
So so, children are annoying
You patted her shoulder as a motion to tell her to sit down, but she resisted, instead she turned back to the little Asian boy.
"ESCUCHAR SI NO DEJA DE HACER ESO"
She yelled, you grabbed her and pulled her outside.
You thought, then spat out the words as if reading them off a crumpled piece of paper.
"¡ME NO GUSTAN.... TÚ MOLESTOS LA NINOS!"
You thought about the words, which came out as,
I DONT LIKE.....YOU ANNOYING THE CHILDREN
She frowned, there were tears forming in her eyes.
"¿Por qué todos en mi contra?" She whispered.
Why is... everyone.... against me
She tilted her head down as she speed walked off, in the corner of your eye you saw someone watching, you looked over and it was the man, his expression blank.
"Sorry for the yelling."
He just went back in his room and closed the door.
You stared blankly down to the floor, part embarrassed, picking a loose thread on your shirt.

You should have gone to find Telesfora,  but it was of no use. You were out of energy for the day and ready to go home. But out of curiosity, just before you were to pack up your belongings and head out, you went to the mans room and put your ear to the door.

You could almost here through the door.
Just mumbles, him talking to himself or someone else, though there was no sign of anyone else in the room, no voice.
Until you heard a weak cowardly voice.

"go..home....go..home" it cooed.
The mans talking to himself continued after this. You almost lost interest when you heard a spine tingling scream. You jolted your body so it was facing the door and threw your arm on the knob before stopping yourself.

The screaming had stopped, you stood there dumbfounded. It wasn't stopped by
the lasting of the scream itself, it was cut off.

Someone had forcefully cut out off scream,
it didn't take a genius to see what was going on. You wanted so bad to throw open the door, take a look around and make sure everything was okay.
But fear gripped you like a python. You could feel your hand quivering, scared of what might happen if you stayed here for to long before they came out to check if anyone heard. And they did.

You felt the knob turn against your hand that was still holding on tight.
You hesitated, then braked for it. You reached the end of the hall where the elevator was, the room still in hindsight as you looked back. The door was open, the slender man now looking at you.
    Did he see me run..?
You gulped, pushing the elevator button repeatedly for you're dear life.
The man just stood there, then began to make his way out of the room, but not in your direction. Instead he walked left.

The elevator finally opening with a brief ding as you stepped inside, still shaking.
  I hate this place.
You punched in your floor numbers as the elevator closed watching the number of each floor number drop as you headed down to the lobby.

And then the lights busted out, and the sound of the electrical circuit shutting off sent a shock of fear threw you.

"SHIT," you screamed as you punched the wall. "HELP!" You started desperately throwing your arms around at the security camera, but you knew it was a useless, even you couldn't see anything over how pitch black it was.

The the red light at the top of the door lit up again, and you heard the sudden rush of electricity turn on as the door opened.

It was floor three and you were going to the lobby, floor one.
Picking someone up? But the only people in this building are me, the patients, and.....

The door opened to the man in the white bespattered ripped clothes.

His eyes were illuminated in the darkness of the elevator, since the lights refused to turn on, The only light source was the red button at the top of the elevator.

He stepped in without a word. You watched helplessly as the elevator door shut slowly.

You felt anxious, scared. You should have walked out and took the stairs, stupid.

You wanted to believe it was nothing, that this was all a coincidence, but the thoughts were demoralized as you saw in the dim red light as he stepped closer to you.

The floor reached floor one, the lobby, but didn't open.
He grabbed you're wrists and you began to whimper in fear.
He took your chin to pulled your face to match his eyes.

"you posses a wrenching curiosity,"  he whispered. "Tell me, why is it that you have been watching me..? Are you the rat stealing my research for that thief?" He spat.

"LET... GO!"
You shot back, attempting to pull your arms loose, but in no use he was to strong for you, stronger than he looks.

He chuckled at this. "Im not letting you out until you tell me the truth."

That was it, he must have gained control of the elevator somehow, however he did it.       You weren't going to be let out by just saying anything, he was smart and not easily tricked. But the last thing you wanted to do was tell the truth, but in this case you did.
You sighed and looked up to meet his gaze.
Here it goes.
