Thomas and I were heading to a campsite since we were both on a break from our jobs. We went to Elkmont, an area in the Smoky Mountains that I've always loved. It was finally autumn in Tennessee. The tree leaves were finally turning from crisp green to topaz gold. The slight breeze in the air made me shiver and Thomas gave me his black leather jacket. It was extremely large on me and the aroma of Polo Red clung to it.

After we set up our tent and got a fire going, Thomas ran back to my bus of a truck grabbing his guitar and a small folder of tabs.

"Thomas, no," I said.

"Y/N, yes," He replied.

"You know I hate singing in front of people. You most of all."

"But you have a beautiful voice."

"Liar."

"Come on. Can you please sing the Murder Song?"

I thought for a moment. He knew me all too well; it was my favourite song. "Fine" I gave in.

He opens up to the tab of the song and starts to strum. And I start to sing.

He holds the gun against my head

I close my e-e-eyes and bang I am dead

I know, he knows, that he's killin' me for mercy and here I go-o-o-o-o-o-o

oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

And here I go-o-o-o-o-o-o oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

And he-e holds my body in his arms, he didn't mean to do no harm and he ho-olds me tight

Oh he did it all to spend me from the awful things in life that comes and he cri-ies and cries

I know he knows that he's killin' me for mercy and here I go-o-o-o-o-o-o

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

And here I go-o-o-o-o-o-o oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

He holds my body in his arms, he didn't mean to do no harm and he ho-olds me-e ti-ight

Oh, he did it all to spend me from the awful things in life that comes

And he cri-ies and cri-i-ies

The gun is gone and so am I and here I go

"See, Y/N? You do have a beautiful voice." Thomas commented.

I scanned my surroundings to see people at the other camping spots all smiling. And all of a sudden they started clapping. My face grew hot with embarrassment and I was probably redder than a radish.

"Um, thanks." I managed to spit out. Thomas laughed and squeezed my waist.

"So would you ever want to sing with me at one of the Winnet concerts?" He asked.

"Shut your face, Tommy." I sassed back.
