I was on my couch watching Newtflix and eating doritos with my husband, Thomas, when I felt a strange feeling across my enlarged stomach. I put the bag down and paused the movie. I pressed a hand to my stomach to feel what was happening with me. Thomas looked over; his face was immediately painted with a look of concern.
"Are you alright? What's happening?" He questioned, obviously worried.
It took me a moment before I answered him. When I released what it was, I loosened my tension.
"Just normal pregnancy stuff." I replied. Thomas sighed with relief. I felt another baby kick and sat upward.
"Are you sure?" He asked. I didn't answer him and instead grabbed his hand and placed it on my stomach. As if almost feeling their father's touch, our baby kicked with delight. Thomas smiled from ear to ear with each kick the baby gave.
"I can't believe that one little baby can give so much power." Thomas marveled.
"Yeah, well it'll hurt a hell lot more once it comes out." I shivered.
