"Ash?" "Shhhh. We're fine." I whispered. We heard footsteps. Mark's eyes widened.
A door opened. It was a little girl with her older brother.
I put a finger over my mouth.
They nodded and sat down with us. The little girl, Mal, sat right behind me. The older brother, Fade, sat next to Asia.
The footsteps grew louder. Mal began to shake.
I hugged her knowing it would make her feel better. Tears slipped from Mal's eyes.
"Your okay.... Your going to be okay...... As long as your next me I promise." I whispered.
She nodded having less tears slip from her eyes. Mark smiled.
BOOM!
Maul flenched. I hugged her tighter.
Mark looked at the door. Mark pulled us closer to him.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
It grew louder and louder each time. Maul kept out most of her tears.
The banging stopped. We heard the footsteps started again and grew further away.
I nodded at Fade and he nodded back.
I let go of Mal and put her in Mark's arms. I looked threw the door.
Clear.
A yellow eye popped out making me flench and fall back. The door began to shake.
Mal cryed out loud.
Mark looked at me.
"Go! Go from the other way." I said. The kids took Kanan and ran into the hall.
Mark looked back at me.
"RAN!" I yelled back at him.
"Just go....." I mumbled.
I used all my might and pushed against the door. Mark helped me.
"On one we go." Mark said. I said,"Mark." Mark said,"ONE!!!" We ran into the hall and kept running. A hand stopped me. It was Fade. "Come on!" He yelled. I grabbed Mark's arm and we ran into Kanan's room closing the door behind us. Mark locked the door.
Kanan said,"Don't you dare to that again, Astrid." I said,"What? I was trying to protect you guys." Kanan said,"I mean almost don't kill yourself again." I said,"Shhh... we have a lockdown remember?" Kanan mumbled something.
