Mahimbing ang tulog ko nang maalimpungatan ako. Wala siya sa tabi ko. I checked my phone and it is just 5 in the morning.
"Ars" I called her name.
Bumangon na ako sa kama kahit inaantok pa ako. I don't know why but it seems like hindi na ako sanay na hindi ko siya katabi. Hindi ako makatulog agad pag wala siya. My condo unit is just a simple bachelor's pad but with her, it became a home. She is my home.
I went out of our room to search for her. I saw her sitting in our living room. Her head is on the top of her knees while her hand is holding a mug.
"Ara" I called her name. Tumingala siya at napansin ko na parang maputla siya. "Are you okay?"
I touched her forehead at medyo mainit siya. Tsk...Nag paulan kasi kahapon sa field kaya pag sakay pa lang niya sa kotse sinisipon at inuubo na siya.
"I'm fine." She shove away my hand. I heard her cough. "Nagising lang ako ng maaga. Go back to sleep. May laro ka pa mamaya."
"You don't look fine to me. I think mag kaiba tayo ng definition ng fine."
"Don't over react." I sighed. Lagi siyang ganyan. Alam ko naman na she is a strong woman pero kahit minsan man lang let me help her. "Go back to sleep. Gigisingin kita pag may breakfast na."
Okay lang daw siya pero kung maka-ubo parang bukas.
"AYYY! THOMAS NAMAN!" Kung matigas ang ulo, well nakahanap siya ng katapat. Hindi pwede sa akin 'yan. I scooped her to my arms and carried her. "BRING ME DOWN."
Binuhat ko siya at iniupo sa may may kitchen counter. I look at her eyes with brows furrowed. "Stay there or else.."
"Or else what?" Hamon niya sa akin.
"Or else I will kiss you senselessly." I smirked. Nanlaki naman yung mata niya. Tumalikod na ako so I can get her a sandwich and a paracetamol.
"As if you haven't kissed me senselessly." This girl is so unbelievable.
Hindi ko na siya pinansin. I continued making her sandwich but it doesn't mean that I can not feel her stares at my back. After I finished making her sandwich, hinarap ko siya.
"Finish your sandwich then drink this." Iniabot ko sa kanya yung sandwich at gamot. Sumandal ako sa kitchen counter sa may tabi niya."Pag wala ka nang sakit I might kiss you senselessly so get well soon."
Hinampas niya ang braso ko at sinimangutan ako.
"What?" Pa-inosente kong tanong. "As your husband, it is my duty to give you my kisses. And as my wife, you should receive happily."
"Kulang ka pa ata sa tulog, Thomas. Matulog ka na nga." She said. Tapos na siyang kumain at na-inom na rin niya yung gamot.
"It's already sunrise. Hindi ko na rin maitutuloy yung tulog ko." I reasoned out. "I will jog around the vicinity pag nakasiguro akong okay ka na."
"Thomas, ayos nga lang ako. Uminom na nga ako ng gamot eh." Para siyang bata na nag dadahilan.
"No, you've been abusing your body these days. You should take a sick leave and rest for the whole day." Masyado na niyang in-stress at pinapagod yung sarili niya para doon sa mini mag.
"B-but I already plan to watch your game after my work." I was astounded with what I heard from her. I didn't know that she has plan to watch my game.
"As much as I wanted to see in the crowd, my decision is final. May live coverage naman sa tv."
"Pero mas maganda pag live saka sayang yung ticket na binigay sa akin ni Carol."
"Madami pa naman akong game at ako mismo mag bibigay sa'yo ng ticket."
