Stiles laughed, "Derek, you're so funny."

Derek chuckled, "All I said was 'I love you'."

"I love you, too," Stiles smiled. He felt a kiss be placed on his cheek, and he grinned wider. "I love your kisses."

"I wish you could kiss back," Derek murmured.

"I can, but..." Stiles trailed off. "It's hard."

"I know, Stiles, I know," Derek whispered.

Stiles grunted, "I wish this never happened."

"It's going to be okay," Derek reassured.

Stiles heard the door open, and smiled again. "Deaton?"

"Yes, Stiles. I'm just checking up on you," Deaton said, patting the boys leg.

"Well, I'm fine. Derek's taking good care of me."

Deaton was quite until, "Stiles..."

"Yes, Deaton?" Stiles questioned.

"Never mind," Deaton sighed.

"Are you sure, Deaton?" Stiles asked.

"Yes," Deaton replied. "Oh, Scott's coming."

"He is? That's great! Do you hear that Derek? This'll be the first time Scott's visited."

"I'm sure he's missed you," Derek said.

"He better," Stiles scoffed, playfully.

"Okay," Deaton muttered. "I'm going to go now."

"So soon?" Stiles pouted.

"I'm sorry, Stiles, but I'm busy," Deaton told him.

"Oh, okay," Stiles nodded. "Bye, Deaton."

"Goodbye, Stiles."

--

Stiles woke up to the sound of footsteps. "Derek?"

"I'm here, Stiles. I'll never leave you," Derek said from beside him.

Someone walked into the room, Stiles had heard the door open.

"Stiles? Scott and Isaac are here." It was Deaton.

"Isaac, too? How are you guys?" Stiles perked up.

"We're good, Stiles."

"So, you guys got married?"

"Yep, the ring Isaac got me is beautiful," Scott told Stiles.

"I wish I could've come to the wedding." Stiles clenched his teeth. "Stupid fucking--"

Scott cut Stiles off. "Please don't talk like that Stiles. This isn't your fault."

"Scott is right, Stiles. It's not your fault at all," Derek piped up beside him.

"Oh!" Stiles almost shouted. "You guys didn't say hi to Derek."

The room was so quiet that Stiles swore he could hear crickets chirping. Scott and Isaac never answered.

"Guys?" Stiles questioned.

"Uh, Stiles, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Scott. Why?"

"Scott, Isaac, may I talk to you alone?" Deaton asked.

"Please do," Isaac said, and Stiles then heard the door shut.

"Hey, Derek?" Stiles whispered.

"Yes, Stiles?" Derek replied.

"What do you think they're talking about? Why didn't they say hi to you? And why'd Isaac want to talk to Deaton?" Stiles bombarded the other male with questions.

"I don't know, Stiles, but I'm sure it's nothing bad," Derek answered.

"You're always right, Derek, so I believe you."

"Good."

The door opened again, and Deaton said, "Stiles, the two have to leave soon, so why don't you guys do some catching up?"

"Sure."

"Also, hi Derek," Scott said.

Derek grumbled, not saying hi back. The two never did get along.

"Derek, be nice to Scott," Stiles scolded.

"There's no point. We'll be saying bye soon," Derek huffed.

"Sorry, guys. Derek's being grumpy as always," Stiles apologized.

"It's fine," Isaac said. "I--"

A phone rang throughout the room, and Stiles could hear shuffling.

"I have to take this," Scott sighed.

"Anyway, as I was saying Stiles, Scott wants to be a Vet. You may already know," Isaac continued.

"I did know. I think it's a career that will suit him well. Considering his mom is a nurse, and it pays well. But also because he likes animals," Stiles said.

"He has an interview," Isaac chuckled. "He thinks he's gonna fail it, but he obviously won't. He did great in college."

"Speaking of my interview, it starts in 15 minutes which means we have to leave now." Scott came back.

"So soon?" Stiles whined.

"I told you," Derek muttered. "They're already leaving."

"I'm sorry, Stiles," Scott groaned, upset that he had to leave already.

"Will you come visit again?" Stiles asked.

"Yes, of course we will," Scott promised.

"Goodbye, Stiles," Isaac said.

"Bye," Stiles sighed.

Footsteps faded away, and the door creaked open and shut.

"Derek, do you think they still want to be my friend?"

"Who cares about them," Derek mumbled. "You have me, and that's all that matters. Right?"

"Yeah, I guess," Stiles said.

The door creaked open once again, banging shut. That was really the only noise Stiles heard except for talking and sometimes screams. He never knew why he heard screams. Maybe he was going crazy...

"Stiles, I need to talk to you."

"What about, Deaton?"

"There's something you don't know," Deaton said.

"And what's that?"
