The waves they keep on coming
Splash after splash
Trying to destroy something
Hidden away
From your eyes
You try to get close
But they push you back
Wave after wave
They destroy
Through your eyes
The salty wind stings
Something you can't see
It crumbles to pieces
Back and forth
It scatters
You can now see
But there are missing pieces
Some ride the wind
Others hide beneath the earth
Some float
In hopes of salvation
In your hands lies a piece
Wave after wave
They destroy
