Over The Rainbow (COMPLETED)

M absent mindedly fixes Charm's hair, putting on mismatched ribbons.

"Mama, it's the wong wibbon." C points out. "This the yellow one Mama."

"I'm sorry, sweetheart." M kisses C's forehead.

"Mama, aw you okay? What's wong?"

"Nothing, baby. Nothing's wrong. Mama's just tired." M says.

She feels bad for having to lie to her daughter but C is too young to understand things. Besides whatever is bothering her is between her and her husband. The kids should not be involved.

She finishes fixing Charm's hair and checks her yellow dress.

"There that's perfect, my pretty little lady." M smiles but her smile doesn't reach her eyes.

"Charm, are you ready?" Thirdy asks as he stands by the door in his black suit.

"Wow. Look at my little prince. You're so gwapo, Kuya." M smiles.

"Popsie helped me wear it, Mama."

"I'm sure he did. That's kind of him. Did you say thank you?"

"Yes, Mama."

"Very good, hon. I'll go get Seb so we can go to the car. Just stay here with Charm, okay?"

"Mama? When is Papa going to be here?"

"I don't know, Kuya. He didn't say."
M answers.

She walks to their youngest son's room and carries him after checking her own long white dress, hair and make-up.

"Let's go, my loves. We don't want to be late for Tatay's event." M calls.

Charm and Thirdy follow her downstairs where DB is waiting.

"Dad, thank you po sa pagtulong kay Thirdy."

"Naku, walang kaso. Matagal ko din yang pinangarap gawin. Ipapasundo na ba kayo ni Pare o sasabay na kayo sa amin? Si RJ ba? Alangan namang mag-drive ka ng naka-high heels. Delikado yun. "

"May pinadala na po si Tatay. Di po kasi pwede si RJ. May taping po. Tsaka malikot po mga bata. Masisikipan na po kayo."

"Okay lang ba kayo, nak?" DB asks, sensing some tension from M's tone.

"Opo, Dad. Don't worry. Mapag-uusapan naman po." M gives her Father-in-law the best smile she can give him at that moment.

"Sige, nak. Pag-usapan niyo yan. Maaayos din kung ano man yan." DB smiles at M reassuringly.

"Sige po, Dad. Andiyan na yung sundo namin. Kita na lang po tayo dun. Thank you po ulit." M says and hugs DB who pats her back to encourage her and kisses Seb's head.  "Kids, kiss muna kay Popsie."

Thirdy and Charm run back and give their grandpa tight hugs and wet kisses.

M and the kids leave for TD's Thanksgiving dinner in Makati.

TD and ND smile and meet M and the kids as they arrive.

"Si RJ, nak? Wala pa?" ND asks.

"Wala pa po, Nay. Pasensya na po." M sighs.

"Ito naman. Nagta-trabaho yung  asawa mo. Naiintindihan namin yun. Wag kang mag-alala." ND assures M.

"Uy, Menggay. Ngumiti ka na nga diyan at baka makahalata ang mga bata. Mag-alala pa mga apo ko." TD says.

"Opo, Tay." M answers.

"Mabuti naman. O siya. Umupo na kayo. Akin na muna tong si Sebastian." TD takes Seb from M.
