I looked through the peep hole and couldn't believe my eyes.

It was Edith.

What she doing at my dorm this time of night?

"I know you're still awake, open this door now!" Edith yelled from the other side of the door.

I waited a few more moments to see if she would stop acting like a maniac and walk away.

I looked through the peep hole.

Nope, she was still there.

I eased the door open slowly, knowing that she wouldn't leave unless I did.

"What," I said, once the door was opened, not all the way but just enough for me to see her face.

"Listen here," she said, yanking the rest of the door open so my entire body was exposed in the door frame. "You're going to stay away from my boyfriend. Far away. He doesn't like you, I'm pretty sure he's told you that before. So save yourself the embarrassment and get out of our lives."

Ouch.

"Listen here," I mocked her. "No one wants your boyfriend. No One. So you can get your little ass from in front of my room. I have classes in the morning." Then I slammed the door in her face.

How could she just come here and disturb my sleep? Does she know how crazy she seems right now?

"You can hide in that room all you want, Naomi", she yelled from behind the door, "But just know that if I ever catch you talking to my boyfriend again, It'll be the end of you.'

"Go to sleep crazy bitch," I muttered under my breath.

I walked back over to my bed, crawled in, and curled up in a ball.

Then, I slowly drifting off into a restless sleep.

Asher's POV

I woke up groggily and rubbed my eyes. Then remembrance of yesterday's events hit me like a truck.

Me taking Naomi out to lunch.

Me finding out more things about her such as her favorite music. And the fact that her father was murdered by police

And me getting caught with Naomi by Edith.

After we had gotten caught Edith had chewed me out. Asked me why was I alone with her. Why I took her out to lunch. Why I had treated her like this.

The crazy thing was that she didn't even seem upset. She wasn't crying. No tears were swelling up in her eyes.

She seemed...happy?

Had she wanted me to get caught talking with another girl?

Maybe Edith wanted to add some drama to our boring ass relationship. To have something to talk to her girlfriends about. I wouldn't except anything more from her honestly. She was an attention seeker. She always wanted any and all attention on her, good or bad.

I remember when I was the new kid in high school. I had move from Miami, Florida to New York City. My father had a job opportunity that he just couldn't pass up. He would have the opportunity to make thousands. I never really knew what he did. All I knew was that he was a business man and in the past had worked for companies such as Apple and Microsoft. I  had always wanted to live in the big apple, so it was a win win for me.

When I arrived at my new school, I felt like an outcast. I was never really able to make friends because I had major trust issues after... some things happened. For the first few weeks I kept to myself. I sat alone at lunch. I didn't have any friends. I tried to make friends with my teachers but even they didn't like me.
