Noami's POV

"I'd guess I'd have to say my favorite song right now is Wake Up by Eden," I told Asher, smiling up at him.

"I'm might have to check that out," he said looking at me and smiling.

Maybe it was such a bad idea going to lunch with him. I mean it's free food, amiright? I took a sip of my drink and looked up at Asher only to find him still staring at me. Only, he wasn't staring at my eyes. He was staring at my lips.

I cleared my throat and he immediately stopped staring and went tomato red. I didn't judge him though. I mean if my skin wasn't as dark as it was, I'd surely be red too.

I kept quiet, tying not to embarrass him or myself even furher. I picked up my fork at began to eat the rest of my delicious chicken parmesan he had ordered for me, and he did the same.

I noticed couples coming in the tiny restaurant more rapidly as I neared the end of my lunch. 'It must be lunch hour,' I thought to myself.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS???!!!" I heard someone shrill. That voice sounded oddly familiar...

I looked up to see Edith stalking toward our table, followed by two girls who were equally as mad.

"What. Is. This?" she asked Asher is a cool, calm voice. Her eyes although, were full of fury and hate.

"What I can't take friends to lunch?" Asher asked in a calm voice. He however, he nervous, scared even.

"Friends? You call her a friend?" Edith replied, raising her voice. "I thought you had told me that-"

"I took her to lunch. That's it" Asher cut her off. 'He told her what?' I thought to myself.

"You were not just taking this rachet hoe out to lunch!" Edith yelled back.

Now I usually wasn't a person of confrontation, but she had just crossed the line.

"Excuse me?" I gasped. "What the hell did you just call me?"

"Did I stutter," she retorted.

"No, but you will be once I punch you in your face," I growled. I started to grab my things. I couldn't deal with this nonsense any longer. I got out of my chair and pushed it into the table.

"Where do you think you're going," Edith said, crossing her arms. He two minions crossed their arms too, standing behind, blocking him from leaving.

"Out of here,"I said, punching my way through the girls. On my way I could have sworn I heard Edith say something along the lines off 'fucking bitch'.

"I just don't know what to do," I told Summer."He's in most of my classes. I can't switch them because that too much of a hassle. But I can't drop them either or else my mom would kill me."

"Yeah, I dunno," Summer told me, stuffing a handful of cheddar popcorn in her mouth."The best thing you can do is be the bigger person and leave them both alone."

I had just got out of engineering class, it now was about 7 o clock at night, which was actually pretty boring. Thankfully Asher wasn't there, so far he'd had been in most of my classes. I read the syllabus that Professor Francis gave me...this morning? Wow, it seemed like my English class had been days even weeks ago. That incident with Asher and Edith really wore me out.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." I yawned. "I am beat. I'm about to take a nap."

"M'kay" Summer said in between handfuls.

I fluffed my pillow and got snug under by huge comforter. I even put on my eye mask, since the city lights peeked into our dorm. I sighed at the softness of my bed, quickly falling into one of the best sleeps of my life.

Rrrinnng!!Rrriiingggg!!

"Oh my god, what the heck?!" I yelled. Of all times someone, probably my mother, had to call me. I rolled over to my nightstand and answered the call.

"Hello," I said, slightly annoyed.

"Hello?" I voice asked, I recognized it but I couldn't put my finger on who it actually was.

"Ummm, who's this?"

"Oh, it's Bethany. We have the same English class, remeber? You gave me your number?"

"Oh yes!" I said. "Is there anything you need? Assignments, syllabus..." I trailed off. I just really wanted to go back to sleep.

"Um, no" Bethany said, "I just wanted to know if I could come over. My roommates not here right now, and it's pretty boring over here."

"Umm," I hestiated. Did I really want to come over? "...Yeah, sure. Come right over my building is Brittnay Hall room 9E." No one should be at home, lonely, especially someone in college

"Oh okay, I'll be right there. I live in Founders Hall."

About ten minutes later I heard a small knock at my door.

"Hey," I said, opening the door. Bethany stood there, decked out in NYU gear. She had on an NYU baseball cap, an NYU hoodie, and a pair of NYU sweatpants.

"Hey Noami," she smiled and I let her in.

"Bethany, Summer. Summer, Bethany," I introduced my two friends to each other. My only friends. Wow, that's pretty pathetic if I had to say so myself.

"So, you wanna order a pizza," I asked Bethany.

"Oh, girl you know I do!" I heard Summer yell fom behind me.

I rolled my eyes jokingly, "I know you do, but I'm asking Beth."

"I could go for a pizza right now," Bethany replied.

"Well it's set, I'm going to order a medium bacon and cheese," I told them and they nodded their heads in agreement.

About 30 minutes later, a knock cut off our hysterical laughter. Summer got up to answer the door.

"Your pizza," the delivery man handed her the steaming boxes.

"Hey where's my drink," she said in a deep voice.

"I don't think you order one," he said looking at the receipt.

"You expect me to eat thus Krusty Krab pizza without a drink," she said, bursting out in laughter. Bethany and I doubled over in laughter for what seemed like the millionth time that night. Summer ended up paying the man, apologizing for her childish jokes.

We started to eat the pizza, watching no other than, spongebob of course on the small t.v that Summer had brought to college. The next thing we knew, it was nearing 11 o clock. Beth had to leave since she had an early class the next day and Summer and I headed to the community showers to take a quick shower and brush our teeth.

Pretty soon, we were bare faced with bonnets on, just like our first night here.

Summer got into her bed as I set an alarm for the next day. Before I could even get to bed o heard yet another knock at the door.

'Maybe Beth forgot something' I thought to myself, getting up to answer the door.

"What, did you forget I know where you live?" I heard a voice say as I opening the door.

What. The. Heck.
