Aph POV:
What he doesn't know is that I have proof he's lying. I can read minds my power upgraded a few days ago but I didn't mention it to anyone.

If I get her trust maybe she will come with me

"Heh your plans not gonna work" I say, he looked at me shocked

"I forgot, demons can read minds" he says,
Dang it Laurence you idiot, maybe I should just tel her the truth

"Um Laurence" I say, he looks down
Tell her

"Um Aph I got threatened to take you to the shadow Knights or else they would kill Phenoix drop" he says, I look down
Okay now tell her you still love her, she won't reject you I hope

"Aphmau I-" I cut him off

I kiss him and he kisses back. I knew that the real Laurence wouldn't betray me like that. But I had to gain his trust. Cause his trust is the most important thing right now.

Travis POV:
We finally had made it to the gates of meteli. The guards were really focused today I didn't know if we could get in. But of course there's always one guard who doesn't pay attention.

Me and Lucinda sneak in and see a bunch of buildings. Great just great now we're gonna be even more lost.

"Well this is just peachy" I say, Lucinda glares at me

"Stop being a negative nancy and help me find the building" she says, I roll my eyes at her

Sometimes Lucinda gets on my last nerve, but I think I get on hers to. We have a kinda love hate realationship.

"Lucinda having troubles yet" I say mockingly, she glares at me

"Say anything else and you won't have two legs anymore" she says, i step back

I put my hands up in surrender then step forward again.

"So you found the building yet" I ask trying not to laugh

"THATS IT" she yells,

She takes her bag with the potions in it and splashes one on me. I realize that Lucinda is taller than me. I look down and see that I have four legs.

"Lucinda why did you turn me into a cat" I say as calmly as possible

"What sorry couldn't hear ya from down there" she says laughing, I glare at her

I guess it will be easier to find aphmau considering most people won't see me. I scurry away from Lucinda and try and find the building where aphmau went.

"Travis be quiet there gonna hear us" Aphmau says

"Sorry" I say

Well that was weird....wait a second I know where that place was. It was somewhere over by, I look around. That way.

I never lived in meteli so how come I got that flashback. Maybe it was just Irene helping me in my time of need.

I scurry to the building and see that Lucinda beat me there. When we saw me she started laughing again.

"Hahaha almost forgot you were a cat" she says, I scratch her leg

"Ugh fine all change you back jeez" she says, I start jumping of joy

She rummages through her bag, then she puts on one of her signature smirks. She hands me the potion. I assumed I had to drink it.

I was a little taller, I looked down and saw I had regular feet. Maybe I just was not used to being tall. Then I look up and see that Lucinda is still taller than me.

"Hahaha hey migget" she says, I glare at her

"Lucinda change me back this instant" I say, she rolls her eyes

"Fine but only because we have to save aphmau" she says, I smile

She rolls her eyes takes out her bag again then takes out another potion. She doesn't even look at it but I do.

Human

The label simply said. I looked at Lucinda then drank it. I turned back into my normal self, I was so happy.

"Now let's go save aphmau" Lucinda says, I look down

Yes I wanna save her but, I have feelings for her and seeing her with Laurence hurts me. I remember when I first met her outside of school.

My first thoughts we're...damn. Mostly because she looked hot. As the school year went by I gained more of a crush on her but so did Laurence.

But school Isent over yet meaning I may still have a chance with her. Which would be surprising if she actually liked me.

Why does this building give me the feeling I shouldn't go in there. Maybe her and Laurence have made up and Laurence is okay.

Or maybe aphmau was trapped by the shadow Knights. I look over at Lucinda who seems to be having the same feelings. I grab her hand then open the door.

"AHHHHHH" we hear aphmau scream
