Argus drove around all over the huge neighborhood and stopped at what seemed like random houses. Every time he did this, someone would call out their name, and declare that they wanted this house. When they reached a really big and amazing house, Drew instantly shot up and bonked her head on the top of the car. She was too happy to notice everyone laughing. She shouted about how that this was their dream home. Then she got out and raced up the driveway, almost forgetting her luggage.

I really didn't care what house I got, so I waited until there was almost nobody left the car. It was just Leo, Conner, Travis, Reyna, and I. Conner and Travis got out at the next stop. Argus looked back at us, and said: "You three really want to be living together?" Reyna and I both almost choked, and Leo grinned.

Argus stopped at three neighboring houses, all painted light blue, with white trim. The doors were white with big clear windows. Argus informed us that these were the last of the houses. We all got out, and grabbed our bags. I was almost disjointed that I was Leo's neighbor for all of high school.

I took the one all the way to the left, and Reyna took the one in the middle. Leo took the remaining one. I found they key under the mat, and walked in. In all consideration, it was a nice house. With wide white walls, and a big living rooms, and kitchen. I walked around and explored some more. All the furniture was sky blue to match the outside walls. I would have preferred something darker, but I didn't mind. I walked upstairs, and found three rooms. I took the master bed room. I had a walk-in closet, that I probably wasn't going to use, and a king size bed. I shoved my stuff neatly into the drawers. (I wasn't a complete mess) Then, I plopped down on my bed and took a nap. I

When I woke up, it was the afternoon. I walked around, and saw a calendar on my wall. The 24th was circled. It said: SCHOOL STARTS in big letters. I t was a week away. I walked out onto a little porch/thing that over looked my back year. I could see Reyna standing in hers. She waved to me.  I didn't bother waving back, but I nodded my acknowledgement. Reyna and I had been through some pretty rough things together, so I didn't totally neglect her, like I did others. I walked back inside, and she walked into her house as well.

It was pretty nice to be given our own houses. Most of us weren't even seventeen yet, hardly eighteen. I stepped outside my room, and down the hall. I had not explored much of the house yet. I opened a door to find a massive library. I actually liked books a bit, so I wasn't totally upset by my house choice. I looked at the covers of the books. They were all written in either Greek, Latin, or Spanish. Nice touch.

I started back down the hallway again. I opened a few more doors, to find a bathroom, a study, and laundry room. I opened the last door and found an office. I walked in to find all my poems o the desk. I thought for sure I had left them at camp. Probably the my father's work. I sighed.

I sat down and wrote a few things.

The violent beat of a lover's heart cold.

A message, a boat, a paper to unfold.

Thrice times, the man you are.

An army's pledge, a bloody scar.

I leaned back and admired my work. It wasn't bad, but I had done better. I picked up all of my papers and put them on top of the cabinets, so nobody would find them. I walked out and locked it behind me.

I walked downstairs to find Leo lounging on my couch. I sighed. "Leo, How did you get in?" I asked, already guessing the answer.

He looked up and grinned. "I picked your lock. Then disarmed the alarm. I have an alarm? I thought to myself. I shooed Leo out of my house, then went to the store to pick up  new lock.

When I got back, I installed it myself, and then hoped back in my car. It had magically appeared in my driveway the second I chose my house. I decided to drive to Hazel's to see how she was doing. I Iris messaged her for her address.

"Hey Hazel." I said.

She looked up, a smile on her face.

"Guess what, Nico? At my house, I found a dog in the backyard! He was just sitting there, sleeping! He had no collar, so I decided to keep him! I named him Lapillus. It's Latin for gem. I love him! He's adorable!" A small brown beagle appeared next to Hazel. His fur matched her hair perfectly. I smiled seeing her happy. She gave me directions, and I found where she lived.

We hung out for the rest of the evening, and she made me dinner. We ate in silence. When we finished, I helped with the dishes and drove home. As soon as I got there I was tried. I walked to my room, changed, and then plopped on my bed, and fell asleep instantly. It was one of the best days I had had in a long time.

.............................................

I woke up to Leo shaking my awake.

FIVE MINUETS LATER

I stretched, and walked downstairs, Leo groaning in my room. He needs to learn not to wake me up like that. I didn't hurt him much though, but he might have a black eye for school. Whoops. I walked downstairs to find the door wide open, and a paperclip in the lack. I rolled my eyes, and hopped into my car to go and pick up a new security system.
