Running to blue

She knew what she had to do

She knew it the moment

Her eyes met the blue

The blue, blueness of the water

So unlike the green, greenness

Of the demons

She had to get there

She had to reach the ocean waves

That rippled around her

Taunting her

Stumbling across

Pale white pebbles

And bark

As leathery

As the voices of the demons

She raced

Through the grass

Long, brown strands of grass

That scraped

And tickled

Her bleeding feet

She ran across roads

Huge, lonely roads

With barren fields

And lone farmhouses

She could see it in the distance

The sparkling crystals

Dotting the surface of blue

Blue, blue, blue
