"I've never been here." Harry said after he and Kendall sat down outside with their drinks.

"Starbucks?" Kendall frowned.

"S'that what this is called?" Harry asked, looking around.

"Were you like....homeschooled or something before you came to the academy?" She asked.

"Yes, actually." Harry said, folding his arms and sitting back in his chair.

"Hm. I like your cardigan." Kendall said, glancing over what Harry was wearing.

The pale blue cardigan with what looked like a white shirt, jeans, and white converse shoes.

Kendall wasn't a fan of the look all together, but she did like the cardigan.

"Oh, thanks. It's cashmere." Harry smiled, feeling the fabric.

Kendall nodded, smiling a little.

"So...what were you going to tell me?" Harry asked, ignoring the feeling of his phone vibrating in his pocket.

"Well, for one, Gigi's sister is a total drug addict." Kendall said. "She does coke."

Harry watched her, listening.

"Gigi tried to get me to do drugs with her once but, I read online that doing those hardcore addictive drugs totally ruins your skin, and your hair. So, of course I said no." She continued.

"So the dark stuff is drugs?" Harry asked, feeling disappointed.

He got his father all excited for nothing.

He knew Desmond would be itching to hear what he found out when Harry got home.

Maybe he shouldn't have told him about Kendall.

"No, the dark stuff is what her father keeps in the basement." Kendall said quietly, leaning forward a little.

"What's that?" Harry asked, his phone vibrating again.

Kendall glanced around them. "Well, to the rest of the world her father looks like the classic rich man, not a care in the world, but he's actually extremely intelligent. He....experiments on things in that basement. And take a guess as to what those things are." Kendall said.

"Girls. The ones who went missing." Harry said.

Kendall nodded. "Gigi made me swear not to tell when I first found out but...I told Kylie. I told my friend Cara, and now I've told you. I don't really feel safe anymore, if we're being honest here. That's the only reason I stayed her friend after I found out. So she and her father wouldn't take me down into that basement." Kendall said quietly, staring off into space.

"She and her father? So she's working with him?" Harry asked.

Kendall nodded again. "Her and Bella are the ones that bring the girls to him. They....pretend to befriend the girls who follow after them and want to be like them, invite them over to smoke, or invite them out for shopping or whatever, then her dad kidnaps them. Well, he never does the heavy lifting. He has men all over the city he's hired to watch, and....get the girls. Rumor has it one of them is a janitor at the academy." Kendall said, looking around again.

"You know what, I'm gonna call my dad to come get me, I don't feel safe driving home alone and I don't feel safe here anymore." She said, quickly standing up.

Harry frowned, looking around them. "But...we just got here-"

"I'm sorry, I can't. I don't want them to get me." Kendall said, hurrying inside with her phone held to her ear.
