The following is not a story. It is a poem. Complete, and finished.
****
If I knew
How to stop
The thoughts that I hate
If I knew
How to stop
The actions that I take
If I knew
How to stop
The way I act towards girls
If I knew
I would stop.
I would, I could.
If I knew
How to say
"I'm not okay"
Instead of
Hiding behind "I'm fine"
If I knew
How to act
When my friends are
Downcast and
Sick of the ways of man
If I knew
What to say
When people sit
At the side
Lonely and rejected
If I knew
I would do.
I would, I could.
If I knew
What to do
When I am jealous
When everything
I know says 'No'
If I knew.
If I knew
I would stop
Those bad thoughts
I would do
Those good things
I would smile
More than now
I would be
Content. But
I don't know.
I would, I could.
But I cannot.

Omnibus: Volume I
Short StoryThis is my first Omnibus of short universe-opening narratives I have written. This spans stories all the way from my first, to near present, so please bear with the (short) and (rubbish) earlier stories - it gets better. Trust me.
