POV: Riley
It's my first day of my new school I don't know what to expect I luckily I have maya to live it with me she is amazing . I get up to my normal routine brush my teeth pick my outfit brush my hair and do my make up . I look in the mirror once more and see a small pale girl . My dad will probably say that my skirts too short. so I grab my jacket and hold it in front of me and get down stairs. my mother is making breakfast and my dad is looking for his tie. Auggie my brother is no where to be seen then I hear my mothers voice " Riley want any breakfast ". I see Pancakes and nod my head I get the plate of strawberry and start spreading my Nutella
"Mom where is auggie I can't hear his voice "
" he's at a..Ava's house "she say almost choking. I laugh and she gives me the lawyer look . I kiss her goodbye forgetting about my skirt and he sees me its to late I could make a run for it but my dads too fast so I simply nod my head pretend to change my skirt and head out the fire escape .
