I hopped onto the not so broken, oak windowsill, pressing my back against the molding(ish) walls.

"GET BACK HERE METAL-EATER!"

"SHE WENT THIS WAY MEN!"

"BRING HER TO JUSTICE!"

I looked at the diamond encrusted brooch. The gems were perfectly cut in the Minecraftian way, the runes carved into it expertly done, and translated to 'HEART OF NOTCH'. Delicious.

I'm Y/N L/N, also known as the 'Metal-Eater'. Yeah, pretty generic. But what do you expect from a kingdom like this? Our ruler is, as you must have heard, King Max Mithzan, who rules with a blocky iron fist.

Ever since he became king, my life went from great to absolutely horrible. I mean seriously! I steal rare artifacts, treasures, and metal utensils to devour. Who, besides my now deceased family, would ever take kindly to that? I don't know, because my old friend doesn't seem to.

Will I ever seek vengeance? No. It wasn't Max's fault. Never actually was. He would become king either way, as he was of royal blood. Things just didn't go as beautiful for me, that's all.

Ever since he was crowned, he would never speak to me anymore. Too busy. He didn't even bother to search the kingdom for me. Not once. He now just talks in court, and to his royal 'friends'. Such as King Sky Adam Dahlburg, Queen Ross (he was always more than just a princess XD), Sir Cory (whom, I might add, spends a lot more time with my friend Shelby, one of the townspeople), etc.

I always new what Max looked like, though it was the opposite for me, as you may have already put together. To him, I was just another face in the crowd of fangirls and fanboys and followers, another soul in the Overworld. Typical, for a royal such as he.

I waited for the shouts of the guards to die down, and then stared at the brooch. I had just stolen it from the LDShadowLady. She has the most elegant, light pink hair with pale skin, and bright sky blue eyes. I sneakily took it whilst she flirted with Sir SmallishBeans, though I listen into some of their conversation. Sounds like they're already a thing, thank Notch.

Contemplating on whether I should save it or feast on it now, I shook my head and shoved it in my mouth. The diamonds didn't taste so bad, though the iron was great as always. I lightly pushed myself away from the wall, walking over to my bed.

The contents of the warehouse wasn't much. There some wooden crates, all nailed up, but filled with nothing useful. There were training dummies, which are used for exactly what they sound like, pretty useful, and plenty of iron daggers. I keep myself from eating those, and simply hide them around my body, under my clothing and in my hiking boots. The hiking boots we're something I stole last week. Fashionable, and good for running from guardsmen. Two in one!

There was (luckily) a couple of mattresses, most of them being moldy. Though I did find one in good condition, which I now use to sleep on. It was hard, not as comfortable, and I unknowingly ate the springs inside one fateful day, so no bounce.

The setup was only temporary though. And yes, you heard me. Temporary. A being like me cannot stay in one place, for fear of getting caught be someone. There was a rather large bounty on my head for all who wanted it, so being cautious is a must.

There was a knock on the shutters on the other side of the two story warehouse. I was on the second floor, and the only person that came to that window was . . . Shelby. She was probably one of the only people who supported me. There were some scattered around here or there, giving me small gifts and blessings, though I (unfortunately) rarely met them.

I jumped up from the dirty, not-so-white-anymore mattress, and quietly walked over to the window. I opened it, revealing the kind, loyal, red-head. And when I say red-head, I literally mean red. Her Snow White, paper crown perched atop her head (A/N: Snow White kept autocorrecting it, so not Disney princess), matching her white ensemble.

"Hey Shubs!" I chirp, glancing at the pinkish, orangey sunset. She visited me every Tuesday, as I sometimes still tried to contact Max at the wall every other month or so.

"What's up?" I ask. She lets out a sincere smile, her auburn eyes shining golden in the light.

"Madam Lizzie's brooch? Seriously?" That was another name for the LDShadowLady.

"It was scrumptious." I reply with a shrug. She comes in from the windowsill, taking a seat on my bed. Shaking her head, she sighs.

"What will I do with you?" I let out a "Eeeeeh."

I pause, looking to the sunset and back at Shelby once again.

"Actually, have you seen Sparklez lately? He usually comes Tuesdays like you, or Thursdays." I suddenly ask her. He told me two weeks ago that he'd be coming on Tuesdays for the next four weeks, but he's missed the last two. Shubble shakes her head.

"Nope." Was her only reply. I hope he wasn't in too much trouble. That snazzy, sunglasses-wearing paperboy better be here soon.

A/N: Hope you all enjoyed! Talk to you all in the next update!
