A Sad Thought

At night, my brain takes forever to settle down.  Oddly enough I started to think about my first ballet studio.  I was reminded of something then that made me really sad.

The building that my first ballet studio was in was an art center that also offered some art, acting and other kinds of dance classes.  I believe it was two years ago that they redid a lot of the interior.  They had a blank wall and they gave people sharpies to write whatever they wanted to.

At the time, my old ballet girls and I had a break from rehearsal.  One of the girls then wrote "Ballet Army" and we all signed our names underneath it.  Near it someone wrote ballet forever.

It's really sad because all of us girls have gone our different directions.  Some have gone to other ballet studios, others have quit and focused more on academics.  It's really sad because almost all of us girls have danced together since we were five or six.  Yet, we all scattered once Hanneke quit.

Sure, I see the girls around but all I get is a nod or a smile from them when we are walking through the school halls.  Maybe if I'm lucky I'll say hi to some of the more friendly girls.  I guess that last night, it really hit me.  Anyways, hope this isn't too much of a downer.  Have a great day and just keep dancing! ~Mia
