Chapter One: Early Morning

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off on my desk.

I rolled over and put my pillow over my horns. "Morning already?"

I growled. My tail swished in annoyance. "Asteroid! Do you mind throwing my alarm clock out the back deck?"

My cat meowed back and the alarm stopped. I looked over and saw her sitting on it. "That'll do."

I got out of bed and stretched.

Hi. I'm Autumn. I'm a Nether leopard who lives in an isolated town called Thunderbird in the state of Serenity. I live in a treehouse like all other creatures with wings in a mile span of Sequoia forests.

I got a text from my best friend Lavender who was a Spirit Wolf about this morning's early day to help set up a science project.

I got dressed and went down the hall to the kitchen where dad an Ender Panther was making pancakes.

"Hey girly! Eat quick! You have an early day today!"

My mom who is a Nether wolf was helping my younger sister Winter who is the same as my mom with her shoes, looked at me and smiled.

"You sure look tired!" She said.

I rubbed my eyes and nodded.

After breakfast, I said goodbye to Mom and Dad and ran out to the takeoff point called the runway.

I turned to a leopard and ran down the runway and leaped into the air at the end and changed back to my normal form.

I started heading toward school.

I looked back and saw that the house next door to us that was for sale had a "sold" sign in front of it.

Wonder who lives there now.
